We are absolutely heartbroken to hear that one of our sweet pups we cared for passed away this morning. We were supposed to care for him next Wed. I wish we had a chance to say goodbye.

Wyatt 💙 You brought a lot of happiness and love to our little doggy family. We will miss you like crazy 💔. Its been an absolute pleasure to have been part of your life. Sleep tight you beautiful soul.

We send our thoughts, love and healing to our lovely friend who is suffering the loss of their pup. ♥️🐾

If you haven't already been made aware, there is a "Mystery Dog" virus that is currently circulating. We are lucky that so far there have not been any known cases in NC. We are doing everything that we can to help protect pups in our care. Our regular cleaning protocol includes cleaning and disinfecting our home with a product called REScue One Step Disinfectant Cleaner which is proven to be effective against many viral diseases including but not limited to Bordatella (kennel cough) and Parvo. There will always be a risk when bringing dogs around other dogs, especially if a dog does not have a strong immune system (ex: young puppies, senior dogs, dogs with underlying illnesses, ect..). We are aware of the symptoms and will be extra vigilant in looking for signs of this illness. As part of our protocol to ensure the safety and well-being of all pets, we ask owners that if their pup has recently been sick or has any
signs of illness or unusual behavior to please keep their pets at home. If there is a chance that your pup may be sick, please do not bring them around other dogs and seek veterinary care immediately. If your dog has other health issues that compromise their immune system, please keep your pet at home to keep them safe. Be on the lookout for. Coughing, sneezing, discharge from the eyes or nose, trouble
breathing, and fatigue.

Thursday Nov 16th 9pm update on Lou. We are very happy to report that her condition is starting to improve with the Blood / Plasma transfusion! She was stable enough today to eat on her own without the GI tube! Yay!! Her WBC & RBC are great, heart & kidneys look good, o2 levels & temp back to normal. Her diarrhea has improved as well. She said the treatment plan for tomorrow is to continue with soft food & wean her off the IV injections so she could start her recovery from home in the next day or two? The Dr said she is a happy well-behaved girl and is wagging her tail again. We are so grateful & happy about this awesome news. We can't wait for her to come home with us and continue her recovery. We can't believe only one day of mild GI issues quickly took a turn toward a life threatening decline. We are forever grateful to all the Dr's, Techs, and staff at Skyline Veterinary Specialist & also to everyone who has donated, prayed, called, text, and shared this gofundme.

It's not easy for us to ask for help as we tend to see ourselves as the helpers and care takers in our world, but the reality of this already-tough year with Lou already having major surgery in April and her continued vet bills after surgery, then a month later Tucker having the same surgery, and Roscoe having all his problem's with his brain infection has depleted all of our Care Credit & Bank accounts. Our fur-kids have had a rough year! So with this we have very limited options to come back from this nightmare of a week without reaching out to our community of friends and loved ones for help.

Our ER/ICU Estimate from Skyline has of 12 pm today was $4,000 that does not include what they have done for the remainder of the day or the next day or two. So needless to say that is an insurmountable sum for most families to take on at the end of an already long and financially stressful year. We are able to tackle a portion of this bill and the bills to come, but we have to swallow our pride and ask for your help for the remaining balance. We know times are tough in general and giving anything right now may not be possible, but if you're able, any amount will be huge in helping us take on this unexpected emergency expense. If financial support is not possible, we'd love if you could share this around to any friends we may not have reached on our own.

Hi, everyone I am in desperate need of life saving funds to help my niece's pup! We have $ saved but unfortunately we don't have enough.

We hate doing this and we hate begging for money, but here we are BEGGING for money to save Lou. She was admitted to Sky Line Veterinary Specialists Wed morning and was diagnosed with Hemorrhagic Gastroenteritis. She is needing life saving blood & plasma transfusions now.

Long story short. Lou had a bowel obstruction earlier this year and has been having issues ever since. We have her on the best foods & medicines but unfortunately this happened & it came on so quickly.
So, when she was vomiting and having diarrhea it wasn't so concerning. But, then she started to have bloody diarrhea. So, we rushed her to the ER and that's when they diagnosed her with HGE.

This is my nieces soul dog and we are trying everything to help save her!

Any amount is very appreciated and we can't thank you enough for helping us save her life. ❤️
