🐾 SIMPLICITY 🐾

I see it all the time - a dog comes in for lead walking help, and they’re already at 100 miles an hour before we’ve even started. They’re on a harness, bouncing around, pulling in every direction, completely unable to settle.

The first instinct for many owners is to throw more at the problem; higher value treats, new gadgets, different harnesses, anything that might “fix” the pulling. But what if the dog doesn’t need more? What if they actually need less? 🤔

So we slow everything down. I pop a simple slip lead on and show the dog how to feel a tiny bit of pressure… and how to turn it off. That moment, when their brain quietens, when they realise they can focus on just one thing - that’s where the magic happens ✨

Because the pulling is just a symptom. What’s really going on is a dog who doesn’t yet know how to slow down, think, and make calm decisions.

It’s easy to get caught up in adding more and more - but sometimes the best thing we can do for our dogs is strip it right back, show them how to take a breath, and just… take one step at a time.

🦮 Less chaos, more connection.
