Only one week left! Come and visit me at Dierenambulance Amsterdam 's open day next Sunday, 1 September from 12:00 to 16:00. I'll be there with my amazing cat-sitting collective Cat Sitters of Amsterdam promoting professional cat care for better cat welfare and our community to other sitters who want to join. This is a great chance to meet me and the fabulous Señor Gato , Mind the Cat Meow Kneads Margaret Gosia and Miranda Dijks and support a great cause, the most amazing volunteer organisation in town 🚑🐕🐈🐇🐾🐦❤️ There'll be activities for the whole family, tours of their facilities, talks, food, drinks and general good vibes. Swipe left to see how this weird tiny creature became a fluffy king about 11 years later.
We'll never know my exact date of birth, but the hoomans chose 1st of May to always have a day off and celebrate with me (and then we all moved to the Netherlands 😹, where today is not a holiday!)
Anyways, it's been 11 years of pure love, adventures and cuddles. Yes, I'm the most cuddly boy (but only with my meowmy).

Today we want to celebrate queen Miura's life... She passed away very recently surrounded by her loving hoomans and her sisfur Roxy 🐶
Miura or Miurita or Miurelia (as I called her) was one of the sweetest foodies I had ever met... Always playful, always ready to chase a treat 🍬
This lovely girl got to live 17 and a half wonderful years always by her hooman side, who adored her so much! (And still does, we will always love our kitty angels! 🌈)
Miurita, I love you so much! I hope you are taking good care of your beloved hoomans and Roxy from kitty heaven... I'm sure you are!

You'll be always living in our hearts 💕

The Cat Sitters' Café is an ongoing open-invite get-together for anyone who cares for cats professionally in Amsterdam (and beyond), with the idea of building community and supporting one another. Cat-sitting is a solo gig, and it might get lonely at times. This is a chance to (finally!) see some people, chat, share experiences and ideas, learn from one another, have a drink and a laugh, make friends, network (bring your cards, flyers, photos of your cats, etc.)... whatever one wants... only everyone around will be equally passionate about caring for cats.

The 2nd Cat Sitter's Café will be held at Restaurant Babel, on the 7th floor of OBA (Openbare Bibliotheek Amsterdam, Oosterdokskade 143, 1011 DL Amsterdam) on Sunday 19 March from 14:00-16:00. Access to the OBA is free for all.

It's been 2 years since we arrived in Amsterdam to a home with 2 hoomans who love us so much and 1 grumpy cat who doesn't really love us, 2 years knowing what a comfy bed is, and without knowing what hunger is...

Here we are, celebrating our 2 years adoptaversary 🎉🎉 but also working really hard to improve our relationship with Salomón. Last year has been though, we're not being nice to him and the hoomans have been done many things to help us tolerate each other, without much luck... 💪🏼💪🏼 But we're not giving up!

One month ago, our furiend Zoe got her wings and flew to the other side of the rainbow bridge 🌈
She was a queen, and a majestic mini panther. She was soft and at the same time she had her character, specially when she had to get her meds 😼

Our cousin Pola María, Polita, Gordita became a fluffy angel last week. It's hard to believe because 3 weeks ago she was doing just purrrfect.

Cat-sitting is a solo gig, and it might get lonely at times. This is a chance to (finally!) see some people, chat, share experiences and ideas, learn from one another, have a drink and a laugh, make friends, network (bring your cards, flyers, photos of your cats, etc.)... whatever one wants... only everyone around will be equally passionate about caring for cats. If the concept flies, let's make this a regular event!

The 1st Cat Sitters' Café will be held at .amsterdamoost - the bar at the Stayokay Hostel in Zeeburg (Timorplein 21, 1094 CC Amsterdam), from 14:00-16:00 on 11 December (off-season, of course!). Go in, order your own drink, spot the black cat on the table (believe me, you will see it), and come join... and don't worry about being a bit awkward around people you don't know. Because we're awkward, we all work with cats 😉

Fiona, the diva of divas. I met you several years ago, and although at the beginning you didn't like me, we learned how to be together without all the hisses (ok, maybe one or two, now and then).

My grumpy Fiona, I loved you so much even though you never allowed me to touch you. You made it very clear from the beginning that the only attention you wanted was your hooman's. And I respected that. And I know you knew it because you welcomed me in your house in your own way.

Meet my cousin Chimu, she's the tiniest and sweetest girl! She cuddled with the hoomans all night long while they were visiting her in Popayán, a gorgeous city in the south of Colombia. That way they missed us a little bit less.... Just a tiny bit....

2 years ago I became a fluffy angel. And there's not a single day in which my hooman doesn't think of me. She still misses me so much!

Yasssss! The hooman is proud to call herself a Fear Free certified professional! She has learned many interesting tools to keep providing an excellent care and make the whole experience more fun and less stressful specially for our more sensitive furiends... And of course we'll be sharing some tips with all of you who want to know more about a fear free environment for cats 😻
