Aussie Miss Molly Molly kicks back beachside in beautiful North Queensland. She's 11 years old. Molly is an Australian Miniature Pig - ruby in colour and a princess.

She has come from a reputable breeder registered with the Miniature Pig and Pet Pig Association of Australia. She's an Aussie - there are no such things as: pot bellied pigs, tea cup pigs, micro pigs, juliana, kune kune etc pigs here. These pigs are found in various countries overseas and Australian quarantine restrictions prevent them from being imported into Australia. All breeds of pigs fit int

With the exception of her head, she is no larger than our bulldogs. Contrary to uneducated public opinion, miniatures are not ‘starved’ to maintain their size (just as a Chihuahua isn’t starved to keep it little) she has a very full diet of fresh fruit, veges and high grade livestock pellets. She is an amazing pet – has lived inside though prefers to be outside with her critters, is clean, fully toilet trained, sits, shakes hands and comes roaring from anywhere barking like a dog when she hears her people come home from work. She has her own cats and is extremely social. Like a dog, she is very protective of her family and does not always take to strangers until she gets to know them. She likes to go in the car and is also a bit of a celebrity at the local vet. If you know someone who is interested in the Miniatures, considering one for a pet or just loves them like we do, please feel free to share this group. We are hopeful our contribution will help to have these beautiful miniatures acknowledged as the amazing domestic pets they are. While she is challenging at times, she is a great pet - and yes, super smart! They are definitely not for everyone. So many people buy them thinking they'll just 'paris' it along in their handbags......ahmmm no.......and then they end up getting dumped (or worse). Enjoy our lil bit of crackle :D

miss molly

Molly is the Australian version of a “miniature” pig. She is registered with the Miniature Pig and Pet Pig Association of Australia (MPPPA). She’s 7 years old. The word “miniature” describes something that is smaller than the original – ie: miniature cow, miniature horse, miniature poodle etc. There are no pot-belly. Juliana, kune kune, tea cup pigs etc available in Australia - quarantine laws prevent these breeds, and others being imported from overseas. Contrary to uneducated opinion, they are not starved to keep them small – just as a Chihuahua isn’t starved to keep it small. Molly eats a healthy diet of fruit and vegetables along with a high grade low protein pellet. It is illegal to feed any meat or dairy product to your pig. They do not reach their structural height until 4 years of age. All piglets can fit in a tea cup at birth. If you are considering an Aussie Miniature – please do your research – too many of these beautiful critters end up abandoned (or worse) because they exceed their owners expectations. They are super smart, so require your attention. They are a routine animal, so get distressed when their routine is disrupted (then they can get a bit destructive and noisy!)
