Trail of Hope When my mare, Delilah was diagnosed with cutaneous then multicentric lymphoma, her prognosis was labeled as "poor."

Inspired by my rescue mare, Delilah's experience with, and survival of, a rare equine lymphoma and melanoma, this page offers support for owners of horses with cancer. This page is dedicated to supporting horse owners through an equine cancer diagnosis, via those who have been through it, sharing their experience, strength and hope. I refused to accept this prognosis, but was disheartened to find

how little research had been done in this area. With the help of my vet, support of my friends, family, other horse lovers and LOTS of persistence, we found ourselves creating our own treatments and protocol, eventually - elatedly - finding success in previously uncharted territory. While my experience has been with lymphoma, and - to a certain extent - with melanoma, this page is open for all to share their experience with any equine cancer. Delilah's and my wish is that if these majestic creatures do find themselves in the same position, they will be given a more sunny outlook than Delilah was as they embark on their trail of hope. Please note - I am not a vet and cannot advise on any treatment or course of action for your horse. Each situation is unique, and my objective is to share my personal experience with equine lymphoma, including treatment alternatives. All of Delilah's treatments were under a veterinarian's care and my suggestion is that with any treatment you pursue, you do the same.
