Dog Engine

Dog Engine We started Dog Engine back in 2007. Before, we only posted dogs for sale in the Philippines. Now we We cried as we let go of each puppy.

My name is Kenzo Kobayashi (Marquis Mendoza), a dog lover as far as I could remember. I know the joy in having one and the pain when they cross over the rainbow bridge. My whole family loves dogs and we thank God for such a wonderful companion in our lives. We started Dog Engine way back January 27, 2007 which then the website acted as a Craigslist for dog lovers and breeders. We were also enticed

into breeding and selling, but only after the first litter we decided to stop. We just couldn’t handle the look of our puppies as we hand them over to their new owners. We felt somehow, we have betrayed them by taking care of them for 3 or so months, gaining their trust, and all of a sudden we let strangers take them away. That was the last litter that we would sell. We then decided to showcase dogs for adoption on the website, just to give them a better chance in finding their new home. We post ads from time to time dogs from shelters as other dog lovers and breeders post their puppies and dogs for sale. That was the platform for Dog Engine for 10 long years. Now, we would like to further extend and help those that truly need it by transforming Dog Engine into an online store that specifically sells dog gifts and merchandise. We will be giving a portion of our sales to our rescued dogs and cats. We have actually created a shelter in our backyard :)

As a dog lover ourselves, we know what kind of products dog lovers are looking for. Be rest assured that we would study and check the each dog related products that we showcase here before putting them online. Thank you for your visit and we do hope and pray that we would be able to have a long term relationship with you, not just as a customer, but as a fellow dog lover as well.

Please adopt them before they get euthanized by the pound 😭

To all interested adopters, kindly message. Comments will not be entertained.

We are very aware that some are adopting to feed these puppies to their pet snakes, so no location will be posted UNTIL we ensure that you have good intentions. You can message us anytime, we are responsive.

Mayor Joy Belmonte said the dogs are sheltered and listed as candidates for rehabilitation and adoption to become pets of families, emotional support dogs or even bomb detection canines. https://bit.ly/3pttHMs

What should I do if my pet is missing?
If your pet is missing, we urge you to check your city pound and the general area where your pet was last seen. You may consider putting up posters in your community and nearby establishments with high foot traffic.

What do I do if I find a pet that appears to be missing?

If you find a pet that appears to be missing, let us know through https://paws.org.ph/lost-and-found-pets/. We can help by announcing it on our page to help widen the search for the owner. You can also do the same on your social media accounts and encourage those in your network to do the same. Meanwhile, we encourage you to foster the lost pet or find someone who can. This will give the pet a safe and secure place while waiting for the owner to make contact.

How can I help find a missing pet?

You can help find a missing pet by visiting our page https://www.facebook.com/pawsphilippines. Go through the posts and keep an eye out for lost pets. Share the links on your social media to get the word out, and encourage those in your network to do the same.

Tips on how to avoid losing your pet:

• Keep your pet indoors and/or secure it in your property.
• Ensure your property is suitably fenced.
• Attach a tag on your pet's collar that indicates your pet’s name, as well as your name and contact details. Another alternative is microchipping. A microchip is a method for permanent electronic identification. The microchip allows vets to scan the dog for owner identification.
• Always use a leash when taking your pet out. Hold the leash at all times.
• Constantly supervise your pet when in public.
• Consider having your pet spayed/neutered to minimize their urge to roam and find a mate.
