TJ & Mimi
On this Throwback Thrursday, we remember the special bond Mimi and TJ shared ❤❤ They were orphaned kittens, rescued one year apart. In August 2016, they were our youngest rescues. TJ was an unwanted kitten that was 'discarded' in a cardboard box and Mimi was found starving on a rooftop after her sick mama left to seek help. Back then, TJ was 1 and Mimi a few months old. TJ loved his lil' sis so much ❤ and now the he's been gone for almost a month, Mimi misses her big brother lots 😿 @followers Watch video >

As we mourn the loss of our beloved TJ ❤ we feel the need to express our deepest gratitude to the seven supporters who made a donation so that TJ could have the best care until the end. A massive THANK YOU ❤🙏to Janet Eggleton Sean Berger Marie Treanor James Berkson Christina Kühnle Stephany Hayden and Nicole Werynski. This video is dedicated to you all ❤ @followers
Paul comforting TJ while hospitalized with IV fuids therapy
⚠️TJ's UPDATE ⚠️TJ has been receiving IV fluid treatment since Tuesday noon. He's been giving all sorts of meds (antibiotics, pain killers, corticosteroids, etc.) Nothing has worked so far and after 4 days he continues not eating on his own. Bloodwork and urine tests indicate renal failure but the abdonimal ultrasound results will give us more detailed information to know what to do next. Vet appointment is today at 2 pm. Please keep us and our little TJ in your prayers 🙏and if you find it in your heart ❤ to donate towards TJ vet care and meds, we'll be forever grateful as we are going through some rough times. @top fans

Cheeky's first video
❤😽On this Throwback Thursday, we go back to last summer when we found Cheeky and started feeding her outside the Sanctuary. Her sister Frankie was hiding somewhere behind the bushes and would not come out while we were near so she could not be easily spotted for a couple of weeks. @followers
Feeding feral cats outside the SAnctuary
On this #GratiTuesday, we want to give a BIG SHOUT OUT ❤🙏to our FEED A FERAL Program subscribers, thanks to whom, over the last 11 years, we've been able to keep on relieving the suffering of countless homeless cats outside the Sanctuary by refilling their feeding stations with kibble, wet food and fresh water on a regular basis. @top fans @followers Watch video >
@top fans Most of our rescues are older cats, some are seniors, so our scratching posts and boards used to last for a few months but now that we have two young kitties, the scratchers get worn out in a matter of weeks! We are living on a very tight budget and haven't been able to buy new scrathing posts or boards in months! The little ones need them so bad 😿 Can you chip in and help us buy a few? https://projectchangeonelife.org/scratchers-and-toys-fund/
Good old days!
❤ GOOD OLD DAYS! Many of you who are new to our page and don't know much about the story of our cat Sanctuary, probably wonder why Gigi, Chloé and Angel live in a separate catroom. Here's the story: They used to be part of a larger group of cats that were rescued between 2013 and 2016. Gigi, Angel, Salem, Oliver, Rocco and Chloé lived in Catroom 2 while FeLV+ rescues Minnie, Jasmine, Gipsy, Bella and Maya lived in Catroom 3, at the Sanctuary. In 2018, Oliver was diagnosed with diabetes and he needed medical care 24/7 so we had to bring him to our home and join the group of rescues that lived with us (Catroom 1). In 2019, we lost our sweet Rocco to kidney failure and in 2021, Bella and Maya, the only two FeLV+ rescues we had left, crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Then in 2022, we had to say goodbye to the place that was our sanctuary for 8+years so Salem, Chloé, Gigi and Angel were relocated in our dining room. Later that year, we lost our dear Salem to lung cancer. So, today Chloé, Angel and Gigi are the only survivors of that large group of rescues that used to live in our former Sanctuary and after 8 years of living apart it'd be too stressing for them (and for us as well!) to introduce them to the other rescues. In fact, we did try and it did not go well 😿@followers Watch video of those good old days!
It's hard to believe all our FeLV+ rescues are gone!😿Jasmine was one of the first ones to cross the Rainbow Bridge. We lost her to Multicentric Lymphoma seven years ago today; she was only 3. February 18, 2017, the day we had to make the dreadful decision of letting her go, was one of the hardest days of our lives. Forever in our hearts ❤🙏@followers
Sweet Angel fast asleep
Angel, is our special needs boy, he was abandoned at only 5 months old. A few days after his rescue, we noticed loud noises would not wake him up and realized he was completely deaf; days later he started to show some behavioural issues and neurological problems as well. In our early days, our plan was to adopt out our rescues and in fact we adopted out a few of them but as months went by nobody wanted Angel nor any of our sick, traumatized or FeLV+ rescues (not even the local shelters!) so then we realized some of them would never find a forever home and that's how our cat sanctaury was born. Angel has been part of our large furry family for +10 years now and we love him to bits!

Ferals at a building site
Although we've been extra busy with the rescue and introduction of Cheeky and Frankie, we've never stopped taking care of feral cats outside the Sanctuary. Earlier this year, we found a small colony of hungry cats and kittens at a building site nearby. Paul has been feeding them regularly for a few months now. There are about 10 of them, and they live in a very risky location however feeding them is all we can do for them right now. Watch video > @followers
Birdies
🐱🐱🐦Yesterday was WORLD ANIMAL DAY and it couldn't have been more rewarding! We're experiencing another heatwave with temperatures as high as 40ºC in the shade, so we went out to make sure our little special ferals Cheeky and Frankie were OK. While hanging out with them, we saw a birdie snacking on their kibble! It was so rewarding to realize that with our actions we are not only helping feral cats but other animals as well. Although we've seen birdies get food and water from our feeding stations before, yesterday was the first time we could actually get it on video! WATCH NOW>

GOT MILK?
❤🙏We want to give a big shout out to our NEW supporter 😻Anne Clark for making a kind donation towards Sanctuary's emergency fundraiser and also joining our 'FEED A FERAL' Program to help feed Cheeky, Frankie, Luna and all the other anonymous feral cats Paul regularly feeds outside the Sanctuary. Anne wrote: "Thank you for all you’ve done for these deserving creatures. I hope that through donations and any other kind of support you will feel relieved and relaxed that all is well." #cheekyandfrankie
