I will be officially closing down the Rattery. After much thought, I've decided to put myself first and focus on taking care of me instead of others. I have tried different things like taking a break, reducing my lines, etc. but in the end I find myself exhausted from caring for all the creatures I have and too tired to give myself what I need.
I have loved breeding rats and trying to create awesome family pets. I plan to keep only a few rats that are my kids' favorites as pets and adopting out the remaining pairs and trios of males and females I have, they will be around a year old. My plan is to post them later this week. After they find homes this page will officially be CLOSED!

I took photos of the babies about 2 weeks ago, but didn't get a chance to post (went on vacation). Babies are old enough to be adopted. I was waiting for the younger ones to be old enough so they can all be adopted out together. I need to go through my messages and come up with a plan to adopt out to previous adopters first and then post to new adopters. Stay tuned as I'll figure it out and I'll keep the page updated.

Still deciding on the babies I plan to keep, but once I know I will post more on the adoption process. I'll offer rats to those who have adopted from me first (likely random drawing for order) and if there are any available after, I'll open up adoption to anyone else. Likely that will be first come first served when I post them.

Did have 2 small litters born 10 and 7 days ago. I'll be keeping the 3 only females and 1-2 males. Leaving 4-5 males available for adoption. Will post more in the future about how the prior adoptees can reserve these males.

Good (temporary) news!!!! I thought about it and want to continue a few lines that I have spent a long time working on. I will be pairing a few females, so I can keep a few. The others will be available to people who have already adopted from me in the past. These will hopefully be ready mid January. If you have adopted from me in the past and want rats in January please send me a message with the s*x of the rats you are interested in. This doesn't guarantee you will get them. I will likely draw names for order of picking rats. I will not be checking messages regularly, so just message me and I'll contact you when I have babies.

***at this time i will not be adopting to new families unless I have extra after prior adopters have chosen
