In all seriousness, we are so grateful for each and every client we have had thus far in our journey of Carter K9. We are so excited for the new year to serve new clients and receive updates from past clients. All of you are what make this a dream come true. Meet Sadie!

This gentle giant spent months alone with very limited human and animal interaction before her current family rescued her. Sadie has made huge strides with her confidence and trust of others, and her owners confidence in walks and training inside and outside of the home is so rewarding!

Great job Sadie and family!

This week’s CK9 Spotlight is Hudson the Havanese. Hudson loves to be held, play fetch and car rides. He USED to love to bite the back of dad’s shoes on walks, but through training is a lovely walking companion now (video proof to come) 😆. Great work Hudson and Mom and Dad!

Holiday schedule! We’ll be doing normal sessions Thanksgiving week, minus Thanksgiving Day. We will also be closed Christmas week to give your favorite trainer a reset week to enjoy the holiday.

Meet today’s Spotlight- handsome, brown eyed boy, Louie! He is 4.5 year old rescue lab, and wants to remind everyone, it’s not too late to start training. Louie went through our obedience program from doing basic commands for a treat, to holding down stays in crowded stores and maintaining attention on mom and dad. Louie loves treats, being chased by other dogs, and swimming. 🤎

Who doesn’t love a mini golden? Meet Harley! Our spotlight this week. Harley is an energetic, smart girl. We asked her mom what her favorite things were and she said - “Me, peanut butter, and me”. Safe to say, she’s a mama’s girl!

Honestly… what is better than a pittie face?! Meet Pearl, our spotlight this week. Pearl was a rescue and is now living the good life with her dads and brother, Monty. She loves playing with Monty, food (of course), and cuddles - pretty much a pittie through and through.

Meet our Spotlight, Remi! Remi loves praise, snuggles, & food. She completed our obedience training, overcoming lots of anxiety and reactivity. From her mom: “Before training, I was forced to walk Remi at 5am so we wouldn’t run into other dogs but now we are walking at Cherokee Park on a Saturday afternoon with ease!”

Today’s Spotlight is Sparrow! This smiley boy loves toys, walks, and most of all is a huge momma’s boy.

Sparrow went through a combination of obedience and off leash ecollar training to allow his mom control and confidence in training when in and out of the home. Great work you two!

Happy Monday Carter K9! Meet our Spotlight, Ruby. This sweet girl loves her Kong toy and sun bathing.

Ruby went through our standard obedience program to allow her mom and dad to manage and enjoy walks and listening ears around the house.

Meet Libby! This girl was rescued from a puppy mill. She was very hesitant with men at first, but has made incredible strides in her confidence and trust of others! She mastered our obedience program and loves rocking all the pink fits mom puts her in.

Meet Birdie! Today’s Spotlight is fluffy and spunky Birdie repping our new Carter K9 bandanas. She loves ice cubes, bird watching (fitting), and snuggling with mom! Birdie went through our obedience program and mom now has the freedom to take her out anywhere she goes and confidence to know Birdie will listen in any environment or distractions.

Meet Scout! Today’s Spotlight is this pretty blue eyed girl. Scout went through training for her anxiety and confidence around other dogs and unfamiliar people. She loves to be outside and playing with her toys. She’s creative and will make toys out of anything she can find. Great work from Scout and her committed owners!

Meet Louie! Today’s spotlight is this sweet boy. Louie went through a unique training program for his extreme separation anxiety. His dad was 150% committed to the program and slow but consistent progression (separation anxiety takes HUGE patience, trust in the process and consistency). Louie has successfully transitioned into a new home with other dogs following training and is loving his life going on off leash hikes weekly, and car rides with the windows down! Such great work Christian and Louie!

What we know: We woke up to a spam of comments from a stranger and tags on our posts of accusations of dog abuse for board and train programs. As you know, we do not offer board and train programs. This stranger screenshotted an Instagram of a Carter K9 that was not us (I attached here for reference) and attached screenshots of a malnourished and neglected dog (that we have never trained, nor seen). Dwayne wanted to make a video rather than a typed post to address the situation, in case any of you were tagged. I’ve also attached the message I sent this person, in an effort to encourage ALL people to please fact check before leaving such huge allegations. I’ll end it with- this is not true, nor will it ever be. We have committed our life and business to improving dog’s lives and relationships between dogs and their owners. There is nothing in this world that could warrant dog abuse in our eyes. Thank you to all of our clients. We love you, and are sorry for this CRAZY mix up and unfortunate lack of fact checking.
