This pretty little lady is up for adoption too. Esme is 1-2 years old, was left to die in an apartment with her babies when the people moved out and left her locked in an empty apartment. She is the most gorgeous, sweet mama. She has already been fixed and vaccinated, FELV FIV negative and microchipped. She is long hair but she is thin and will gain weight and more hair once these milk vampires quit nursing off of her. 😾

If you've been thinking about getting barn cats, please reach out. We would love to place some before it gets cold because it's easier to confine them when it's not freezing temperatures. Depending on the friendliness of the cat, they need to confined about 2 weeks in a stall or even a dog crate (which I can loan out). They need to get used to the sights and smells of the area so that they don't just run off. It's a myth that barn cats do not need to be fed because then they won't hunt. That is a old school way of thinking that has been proven over and over false. So these cats need to be fed daily and also have a warm dry shelter to go to in the winter. Well, that could be even a Styrofoam cooler with straw that I can provide.
Please consider taking in some of these babies. I don't want to have to return them to the woods, but I can't keep keeping every stray myself. I am getting several fixed on saturday. These are photos of some of them.

Spent the evening trapping these two older kittens on the bike trail off of Bishop rd just south of North Liberty. They had a torti mom but she hasn't been seen in awhile 😫
I will be getting them fixed but I cant in good conscious return them to their spot so looking for a barn home for them together. I'll know more once I get them fixed. Grey/white is freaked out but torti is friendly.

Home pending!

Does anyone want a rooster? The neighbors moved out with the hens and left this poor rooster behind in downtown Mt Vernon and it is now on my friend's porch. I already have five roasters so I can't take it.

I ❤️ FIV+ cats! Some of my personal cats are FIV positive.

We have 2 amazing FIV+ cats that have gotten exactly zero real interest!

Including an orange GIRL! (Fun fact, only 30% of orange cats are female!)

Does anyone have a live animal trap/s I can borrow Friday through Sunday? We are doing a TNR project on Saturday. And not to be picky but they can't be the raccoon traps from TSC because feral cats are notorious for getting out of them. 😬

Got in this mother-son duo last night. She had 2 other kittens but they disappeared so I took them in to ensure his safety. Kittens tragically don't last long outdoors on their own. The neighbors thought owls probably got the other two. These two are very bonded so our deal was that I will find them a home together. I need name ideas.
