Another order of replacement chicks and ducklings have arrived from the hatchery!

We are still working to recover from Pete the Panther over Christmas and should be fully recovered enough to sell chicks and ducklings again in a year.

Eggs should be available for sale over this summer!

Our new breeds include:

Sadly we will not be adding geese back for at least another year.

If you haven't been paying attention, there is a huge Purina dog food safety issue that is impacting a lot of the available food options on the market.

Just remember it's not hard to make homemade dog food in a few minutes.

Apparently, the idea of Florida Panthers prowling Hernando County is not so crazy.

A pair of Grizzly cubs turned up in Okaloosa County (FL), about 3,000 miles south of Alaska where they came from.

Regarding Pete, we have not captured anything new on our cameras and we have not found any new prints in a few weeks. If something new occurs we will post about it here.

A Florida deputy was in for quite a surprise when she got an unsuspecting early morning emergency call.

🐾 PETE UPDATE 🐾

We captured these prints on our farm this morning. Prints were captured behind our rear empty sheep barn that is no longer used. Sadly no cameras were setup in this area.

Clearly much larger than a bobcat.

We will try again to get some definitive pictures.

New replacement chicks just arrived from the hatchery 🐣🐣🐣

Thanks to Pete the Cat, this will be the first time in 6 years we had to order chicks. Up until now we had been hatching our own chicks.

Given this turn of events we have also decided to switch breeds. Anyone want to take a guess at the breed??

Because of the damage inflicted by Pete the Cat we will not be selling geese or ducks in '24 or '25. We have to start over.

Panther Watch enters day #4 without a return trip by Pete (The Panther). We did catch a possum and our neighbor's barn cat on our cameras though.

Although after eating 2 of our largest hens 3 nights ago, it's no surprise that Pete hasn't returned.

We will try again tonight.

After much deliberation and comparison we are sure that we have a panther prowling the south Mondon Hill area.

We will know more once it returns and our cameras can get higher resolution images.

🚨🚨 Predator Warning 🚨🚨

If you are located on south Mondon Hill Road then keep an eye on your animals and small pets.

Our farm has lost 2 flocks of ducks and geese, as well as 2 dozen chickens.

We have contacted FWC which came out today and the jury is out if this is a panther or a record breaking bobcat (this animal is considerable larger than any recorded bobcat). The images from our game camera are not clear enough and the physical prints left were not definitive to determine what it is.

👉 Prints are 2 1/2 inches
👉 Stride is 29"
👉 Height 30" (crouching), actual much taller

Keep your eyes out. This predator has been targeting our farm every other night for 3 weeks.

We have tripled our game cameras and will report back once we confirm what it is.

We are now accepting deposits on our straight run of Embden Goslings which are due to hatch within the month or so. Our geese are currently laying on 10 eggs, so get in before they are all spoken for.

We are parting ways with our mating herd of Holstein dairy cattle, which consists of one intact bull, and 3 heifers. The ages of the heifers range from a year old to three months old.

Our cattle is not tagged and has been dewormed. We raised them all from bottle calves so they are very friendly and social.

We are also willing to transport, but that would incur an additional fee.
