Hello November ❄️
We can’t believe 2024 is almost over. We feel like this year has gone by way too fast compared to other years.
•
The rabbitry is almost winterized, but we aren’t completely done yet. Fall didn’t seem as long as normal and the first snowfall came sooner than expected, so we need to get our butts in gear! Winters here can be very harsh and cold, with lots of snow. We are secretly hoping for the same type of winter as last year 🤞🏼
•
As for litters and babies, it’s been a struggle the past few months 😞 Between does not taking, or does not wanting to be bred and basically everything in between it has been extremely difficult and challenging. But all we can do is push forward, continue on and stay positive.
•
We were also hoping to attend one last show of the year but plans have changed and unfortunately that won’t be happening now.
Two of our keepers, Prairie Sky’s Deadpool and Prairie Sky’s Drifter, were suppose to have their show debuts as juniors, but looks like they will have to wait till they are young seniors in the new year ♥
•
Also, we still have a couple buns looking for new homes to hop too 🏡

Happy October 🍁
We are loving all the beautiful fall colours! It definitely makes a wonderful background for a bunny photoshoot, which we will be doing soon!
There are a few keepers and new additions we need to get some photos of ♥

Unfortunately, September wasn’t a super easy months for us. It definitely had its highs but also had its lows 😞
Sadly, several of our does we had due in September didn’t take, which is super disappointing but we will rebreed and try again.
The hardest thing was loosing a couple of our beloved herd buns, which is never easy and completely devastating 😭
•
On the positive side, our keepers we held back are doing very well and are showing lots of potential. We held back 3 Holland Lop Does and 2 Holland Lop Bucks

We have been meaning to make this post for a while but better late than never 🤪
•
Back at the beginning of September we attended the 2nd Annual Rabbits BC Classic Show, in Barrieré, BC ☀️ It was an absolute fantastic weekend and the weather was great!
We attended this show last year and loved it so much we had to go again. This show will definitely be a yearly trip for us for the years to come ♥
•
This was our fourth show and we must say the rabbit show world and atmosphere is definitely addicting! But we wouldn’t want it any other way.
We are constantly learning more and more about our breeds each and every time and can’t wait to to focus more on our show quality buns ♡
•
We entered nine rabbits into the show;

We are thrilled to have had a few of our rabbits come home with some more legs and we can now officially register and grand champion our Black Otter Mini Rex buck, Muddy Water.

This little girl is almost 7 weeks old and we couldn’t be happier with how she is turning out! She will definitely be staying with us to grow out and hopefully have her show debut as a junior in November 🤞🏼

Hello September 🍑
We are so ready for fall, and so are all the buns.
They love the cooler temperatures and playing outside in the shade so much better than the hot summer sun. We’ve enjoyed the summer but are ready to move onto the next chapter 🍂

We do have a few does bred that will be due in about a week, along with a few more to be bred for some October babies ♥
We are super excited to have a few more grow outs and keepers from our couple summer litters.

Happy August ☀️
We can’t believe that summer is almost over, it’s gone by way too fast! We have definitely enjoyed some nice hot weather and sun but we are really looking forward some cooler fall temperatures 🍂
The bunnies do much better in the fall months and we don’t have to worry so much about them getting too hot and overheating. We are very thankful for the A/C in our rabbitry though for the summer 🩵
•
Currently in the rabbitry, we’ve got 4 Holland Lop litters that are all doing great. Our keepers we held back from some spring litters are growing out and maturing nicely! We hope to add them to our program and to our fall show team 🏆
•
We do have a couple buns still available and ready to go to their new homes.
