It’s also SNAKE SEASON! Our slithering friends come out to enjoy the high temps and sun in the summertime, just like us, but prefer plenty of personal space. First picture shows a gopher snake making its way across the Macdonald trail in Chabot, and the other slides show commonly found snakes around the Bay Area, via thingsthatcreep.org.

It’s FOXTAIL SEASON! Take every precaution you can to protect your dogs from these harmful spikelets of grass. We highly recommend the field guard as seen in these photos to protect your dog’s eyes, ears, mouth and nose. We also encourage folks with long or curly-coated dogs to get regular short haircuts throughout the season. Always check between the toes, around the groin, and under collars for foxtails after every walk, because these things are everywhere right now!

Salad bar season is here, , & the pack really wants to eat their greens 🥗
Sounds like a no brainer, let them eat? Nah. While sweet green grass is perfectly fine for dogs in moderation, it is often mixed with weeds, green foxtails, & other grasses which are not, and can lead to vomiting & choking. 🤢
Fam, please have your out for pick ups & help us keep your dog safe while having fun on the trails ❤️

He’s a spunky Rhodesian Ridgeback who will steal your heart, and your treats 😍
Bumi joins the pack with our trainer Erin though our boot camp program where he will learn recall, pack manners, boundaries and clear communication. The pack was more than happy to welcome him to the team. YAY BUMI!!! 🥹❤️
