🦷 Aggie’s Tooth Fairy Fund: Help Cover Her Dental Costs! 🦷
When Aggie first came to us from a colony in Warren, she was in rough shape. Her little body was battling a raging upper respiratory infection, and it was clear she’d been struggling for a while. Aggie was scared, sniffly, and tired, but even on her hardest days, she had a spark of determination in her eyes that told us she wasn’t giving up—and neither were we.
As we cared for her, it became clear that her URI wasn’t her only challenge. Poor Aggie had terrible dental disease that was making it even harder for her to heal. But today, thanks to our friends at Vetco Total Care Smithfield, Aggie had her much-needed dental surgery, and though it was a big one (16 teeth removed!), we know she’s going to feel so much better moving forward.
While we are thrilled for Aggie’s new beginning, her care hasn’t come cheap. Her dental alone cost $2,500, and that’s just the start. When you factor in pre-op bloodwork, exams, vaccinations, URI treatment, and follow-up care, the costs add up quickly.

Today, our community cat team was in #Warren helping a community member with a group of community cats living in their neighborhood. This kind-hearted individual has been feeding stray cats for years, but their recent health issues has made this challenging.
Rhode Islanders throughout the state care for community cats by providing food and shelter, but often can’t afford spay and neuter services. That’s why we established our Community Cat program in 2020.
The Warren group has at least 15 cats who need spay/neuter services and we estimate it will cost $125 per cat. Our work is community-supported and we do not receive state or city funding.

Remember Shirley? Since mid-July, she's been working hard on her mobility and weight loss in foster care. After just a few weeks, she’s walking easier, jumping onto chairs, and navigating stairs like a pro—all while safely shedding pounds.
