A local community cat colony caretaker required emergency surgery. We have been feeding the colonies while he recuperate. So many hungry kitties as well as a few Trash Pandas. It requires about 22 lbs of cat food every nite. That's about $600 a month since the cost of cat food has increased.

Trigger Warning: very graphic skin infection on a community cat. His name is Ping. His human caretaker was frantic to get him much needed help.
Thor Update:
It has been a week since Thor was in the ER. He has been doing AMAZING!!! When he got to the ER he was minutes away from dying. Now he is playing with his catnip toy & hanging out. He has given us a few scares. He is using Pretty Litter to help determine is there is any changes in his urine. He has passed a few more stones. The prescription food is helping break those stones up so he can pass them. And he is on pain meds to help with any pain. So far no more blockages.
We have only raised about $100 to cover the $1700. Please consider a small donation!

Welcome crew making the newest intake feel at home. Socialization is part of our training process before adoption. It helps all our fur kids have their happiest Tail when they move onto their new homes. We believe all dogs & cats should live in homes with other dogs & cats ... as a happy pack.
This is what community cat caregivers deal with everyday. This kitten is only about 10 -12 weeks old. All alone by a very busy hwy. The area colony feeder has been working on gaining is trust & we have tried to trap him. We won't give up on him/her.
This is why we need your help.
The Slice the Price card campaign gives us the funds to help them.
Grooming is a good sign of a will to live ....
So begins the story of Jules rescue & her journey to a happy Tail. We believe something spooked her & she ran under a chain link fence to safety. In her terror she got caught on the chain link & ripped her leg open.
Update: we are said to report that this baby lost the fight. 🐾
Found covered in ants & flies. Her siblings already dead. Upper respiratory infection. Eye infections. Scabies on ears & head. And only 14 days old.
Loves to make biscuits & snuggle.
The next few days will be crucial of whether this tiny baby survives.
This is why we spend hours doing TNR ... to stop the suffering.
..
Sometimes we get uninvited guests to our TNR events.
This little girl (9 lbs) has been living on the streets for awhile. Neighbors say she has had litters of puppies but they all die. She roams & steals food where she can ... even bird food. She has ... or had .. a bad habit of chasing cars. She really hates the delivery vans and the delivery drivers have been terrified that they will hit her. Well one day she must have been hit ... her front leg is broke & mangled. She runs away from people ... animal control was not able to catch her. We started to try to gain her trust with food but she still very cautious & only eats after we leave. To our shock & joy a neighbor new to the area has gained her trust & says he can catch her!!! So plans are in the works to get her proper care!
Day 7 .... yes only Day 7. This was a dog who darted out the door, ran the neighborhood, was terrible on a leash, knocked people down, chased cats & obeyed no commands. Here Beau is off leash, playing, obeying commands & ultimately RESPECTING HIS PACK LEADER!! He is mastering sit, stay & come.
This is a lesson ... when a dog has been 'marked' as having behaviour issues ... it's not the dog that has issues. It's the dog owner!!
Beau current interaction with his fellow housemate. Cats can make good friends.
Look at our little champ TITO!!! He fought & survived! 4 weeks since he was rescued. Still extremely small ...only about 12 oz! But he is active. He is a climber. Now onto solid food!!
Since Tito is doing so good we will consider applications to adopt! It will be a foster to adopt situation so there is support for his upcoming vet health exam, vaccines, etc.
O Sunflower how you make everyone laugh!!! This bundle of fun is one of the sweetest dogs we have ever dealt with. She was breed & dumped, skinny from hookworms. She received vet care & love & look at her now.
Sunflower is still waiting for her forever home.
(Adoption fee is lowered to $75).
Request a adoption application to start the adoption process.
Update: kitten with big personality is going to foster to adopt tomorrow!! Great loving home!
Yes ... kitten season has arrived. Another kitten rescue today. This little guy was found a few feet from a busy hwy. The finder is going to search for litter mates tomorrow.
(Because of the dangerous location it was decided to pick him up rather than leave... he would probably not have survive living next to the busy traffic.)
Just a reminder ... masks are mandatory!
