Good Morning Everyone

My phone broke last night and so I only currently have WhatsApp on my laptop when I get home of an evening.

PETS AT EASE with Sarah Louise

The name of my business is more a description of what I offer. This is not just a pet service, it’s a passion born from how important I believe animals are... they are not just pets, they are part of the family!

Whenever I go away, my first thought is always with my furry family members… How much I’ll miss them, how much they’ll miss us! How will they cope without us? With a different routine? Will they get sad and lonely? What happens if something happens to me? What if something happens to them? What if they are sick…. And so this continues before I leave, as I leave and during my time away. This is why I do what I do! My aim is to (as far as is humanly possible) ensure that you don’t feel like this when you are away from them because you know with certainty that your pet will be as happy, comfortable and safe as I can possibly make them. I have looked after numerous pets over the years and feedback has always been that I understand animals, care for them as though they were my own, and that I always go above and beyond to ensure that pet parents, and the furry members of the family know that they are safe and happy while apart.

I have copied some reviews from a company that I used to work for into the photos area for you to read.

Pet sitting in your home

I don’t set standard visit times or standard ‘what’s included’ as each pet and pet parent are different.

What will happen instead is that after getting in touch for the first time, I will visit you all in your home so that I can meet you all face to face and you can observe the interaction between me and your pet/s. I will learn about your pet/s routines, quirks, likes and dislikes and any thing extra I need to know about.

During my visits while you’re away, I will keep to both of your routines as closely as I can. This will include the obvious basics of cleaning of trays, feeding, change of water, cleaning up the odd accident and cuddles. I will also open and close curtains, turn lights on & off, water plants, bring in the mail, take out the rubbish and any other little things that will make you feel happier and safer about leaving your pets and your home. Into this I will also intertwine the extras that we discussed which will be unique to you and your pet/s.

As mentioned, I do not set stringent times as I will always give that extra where needed and wanted. During my initial visit I will ask if you are happy with me staying for a coffee so that I can stay and offer companionship to your pet. This may mean sitting in the garden and relaxing with them, playing with their favourite toys, or cuddling up on the couch with them while we read. Again, this will all be based on what you are comfortable with and based around you and your pet/s. This will all be written down, and agreed, to ensure I am clear on what you want.

There are of course some things that will be extra such as administering medication or anything else that requires reoccurring extra time – but we will discuss this at the time of booking (also see additional services).

Dog walking

As PETS AT EASE is about the personal touch, I don’t offer large group walks so that all of the focus is on your dog/pack. I believe that walk time isn’t just about exercise, but enjoyment for your dog/s. By only walking your dog/s, there is no time wasted on learning how new dogs interact, no concerns about negative interactions and just as importantly, me and your dog/s can focus on them enjoying themselves and feeling safe.

As with all of my services, I will take the lead from you and through mutual feedback I will adapt your dog/s walks as we get to know each other better. If I am to become a regular walker for your dog/s, I recommend that we go on an initial walk together to encourage your dog/s to see me as a part of their pack. These walks have proved to be incredibly beneficial to both dog, and dog owner, in building their trust in me, especially if you would like me to let your dog off the lead during our walks.

I offer dog walking and sitting combined too so that you can adapt what you need on a daily basis or for if you’re away. (Please see services offered)
