#Repost @impd_news with @get.repost・・・Introducing Officer Gus, our newest four-legged hero! 🐾 Today is a special day as we proudly swear in @officeraugustus, the 10-month-old Australian Mini Labradoodle, as the official therapy dog for our police department! 🐶 As part of the force, Officer Gus will play a vital role in providing peer support to our dedicated officers. Officer Gus has been training with Ultimate Canine since November 2022. Since then, Officer Gus has gone through three levels of rigorous training that include over 30 obedience commands. He even knows how to snuggle! In times of crisis, Officer Gus will be right there, offering a comforting paw and a wagging tail, providing much-needed relief and connection. 💙 His presence will undoubtedly bring smiles and comfort to everyone in our police department. We want to extend a massive thank you to @threedogindy for their incredible generosity in donating a dog-friendly sweet treat for Officer Gus to enjoy on his first day on the job. 🍖🎂 We also had Officer Allie, another one of IMPD’s therapy dogs, and Officer Luna from @noblesvillepd there to celebrate the big day!
