Enrichment doesn't have to cost a thing!

Before you bin or recycle it, think, can my dog be enriched by it?

The answer will often be yes!

Here we have the popular treats in egg cartons and my "origami" toilet rolls!

The treats I used were a bit messy but I used the crumbs too!

Mixed them with a little [100%] almond butter, fresh parsley and put them in a Toppl.

Didn't take long, nothing wasted, I can have dinner in peace and my dog gets twenty minutes of enrichment by way of scent work and shredding stuff.

Result!

Toppl- Quite possibly the best enrichment/feeding/most versatile toy that you'll ever buy for your dog.

Here's a really simple stuffing idea for it.

Grated carrot and soft goats cheese!

Check out the photos below.

Fill it and mix it with anything you like, stick it in the freezer too!

When finished, put it in the top rack of the dishwasher.

Cheesy Garlic Mushrooms - A restaurant favourite for many of us!

Here’s a fabulously tasty way to serve your dog their own special version of this popular dish, but with extra health benefits!

Mushrooms are incredibly healthy for humans as well as dogs. Particularly "medicinal" mushrooms, such as sh*take.

Garlic has numerous benefits for dogs, too. Helps contribute to natural flea, tick and parasite control.

Extra virgin olive oil, besides being tasty, helps keep dogs in optimum health, and conditions their coat from the inside out.

3x 200g punnets of fresh sh*take mushrooms
2 organic cloves of garlic
two tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil

Wipe sh*take mushrooms and put in roasting pan or dish.
Season with a pinch of salt and a good amount of freshly milled black pepper (helps with curcumin absorption!)
Add extra virgin olive oil and mix thoroughly.

Roast in fan assisted oven for 15 minutes at 180 centigrade.
Remove from oven, add finely chopped garlic, mix and put back in oven for five to ten minutes more.

Remove from oven and enjoy!

Set aside to cool for your dog(s)

Mix with a little goats cheese, or cream cheese, then smear inside Toppl for your dog to enjoy!
