Garrett’s foster mom told him that he might see some snow out his window, but he is one of the lucky ones that gets to play inside and stay warm now that he was rescued from being outside just a few months ago. This shy but sweet playful boy has gotten lots of love from his foster mom, but he’s ready to look for his forever family so his foster mom will have room to help another kitty that needs her.

Garrett is a 1.5 year old male cat that is fixed, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, has gotten his vaccines, dewormer, flea prevention and is microchipped. If you are looking to add a kitty to your family - he might be your purrrfect new family member!

Thank you to everyone that came out to have fun at Yoga 6 with our sweet little grey kittens! They had a great time running around and will sleep well tonight. We even named them after class, so if you are interested in adopting any (we did get an ap for 1 right away!), make sure to inquire about Cobra, Lotus, Tree, Happy Baby or Hero……the yoga kittens!! 😻🧘‍♀️

October has come and gone, and we have continued to do our thing - take in a bunch and adopt out a bunch. National Adoption Week at PetSmart was a huge success as 28 kitties found their forever homes.

We also celebrated our 13th anniversary and adopted out our 6,000th kitty since we opened our doors in October 2011. Our volunteers continue to open their hearts and give their time to care for all of these sweet babies that need us! We are looking forward to finding homes for many more in 2024. ❤️

You haven’t heard from us in a little while, but we wanted to let you know that we are still here doing our thing - taking animals in, caring for them while they are with us, and finding them homes.

Autumn is always a difficult point in the cat rescue year cycle as requests for help with unwanted litters of kittens continue to pour in while there is an increase of intake requests to get stray cats in before winter hits. Meanwhile rescuers are exhausted from going full speed since spring. So we have been posting less and decided not to do our annual fall fundraiser to give our volunteers “a break” and are just sticking to the basics right now. It doesn’t mean we don’t need the financial support, but the support we need right now is to have fewer demands of our precious time as well as a mental health break from being pulled in a dozen directions!

We love and respect our volunteers as they are so important to our rescue and to the animals that they give their 110% to. Taking care of them is as important as taking care of the animals we help ❤️

It was a very Merry Xmas in July for Tails & Muttley as we had a super successful Santa Paws event! Thanks to everyone who was there and/or purchased raffle tickets and donated beforehand, we made $5,320!

Congratulations to all of the raffle winners, especially Dave W, who won the mini fridge, and Matt S, who won half of the $1,630 50/50 pot (and donated a portion of his winnings back to the rescue)! Matt S - we hope your 3 pups enjoy their steak dinners today as that’s how you said you were going to spend some of your winnings.

We want to give a huge shout out to Jason and his team at West Park Station for doing a great job taking care of our event attendees! Also a special thank you to Santa and Mrs Claus for taking time out of their busy schedules at the North Pole to come to Cleveland for a couple of hours.

Events like these not only help our rescues financially, but they allow us volunteers to have fun with our supporters, many of whom adopted from us!! It was great seeing everyone last night! If you took any photos at the event, please post them in the comments!

We keep posting about all of the fun things you can win if you attend our Santa Paws event.

The real winners are these faces - the kitties and pups that enter our rescue because they need us! As of today, we have helped over 450 animals in 2024 alone! We are a small group of volunteers that moves mountains for our rescue animals, and we are asking you for a couple hours of fun to help us continue the work we do on a daily basis.

We know you are bombarded with donation requests from all over as there are so many people out there doing good things to help animals, children, veterans, homeless people, etc., and we truly appreciate you choosing to support our mission by attending, donating, sharing, and even reading our posts!
