meet Millie - our newest addition to the aVoice4paws rescue family.

This sweet 9-10 week old Chesapeake Bay Retriever was surrendered with a broken jaw ..... we dont know the whole story but she is safe now!!

Millie just had surgery to repair the jaw and she also has torn ligaments and a tongue laceration....the prognosis looks really good!!

If you would like to contribute towards her surgery, we would be so grateful .... no amount is too small .... the total will come in around $3000. We have had some huge vet bills lately and we are feeling it!! e-transfers to [email protected] are graciously accepted, we can provide a tax receipt for any amount over $20 🙏🙏

We are taking applications for her, she will be recovering for the next couple of weeks so will need a home where someone is able to be with her...even tho she has been through alot, she seems fairy unfazed!! Keeping her quiet is going to be a challenge. email us at [email protected] to request an application

We are partnering with Puca's Pack Rescue she has many wonderful dogs that would love to find a home before the holidays.

Finding homes for dogs is tougher than it ever has been, some of these sweet souls have been waiting months and even years ..... they need you to save them, love them, keep them safe. Come and meet them to see if any are the right fit ...
We will be selling jam and lots of other give aways.

All proceeds go towards much needed vet care.

This 15 month old PB German Shepherd was brought to Vancouver by a lady who lives on Oak street in a condo with a small dog and a cat. The shepherd wants to play with the little dog and doesn’t realize her size …. The owner wants to rehome asap ….. we are simply sharing in hopes this girl finds a more active and appropriate home ….. no negative comments please. Bluesea is a female purebred “blue” miniature dachshund, 10 years old. Sadly, her human is moving into a care home and can no longer look after her.

Bluesea has been a steady companion, spending most of her time snuggled beside her human on the couch or following her human about the yard. Because her human is disabled and uses a walker, Bluesea has not spent much time on a leash nor had much active exercising but, with a little patience, should remember both. She enjoys being outside, loves to sniff and explore.

She weighs 15 pounds. Bluesea has been well cared for with regular vet visits.

Not much information is available about her interaction with other dogs, but she does get along with two big labs owned by extended family and she’s fine with the owner’s 14 month old great-grandchild. She’s shy with strangers but comes around on her own terms. She’s an effective watch dog, as all dachshunds are.

Because of her owner’s disability and reluctance to put Bluesea outside after dark, she has been trained to use p*e pads in the solarium, a bright room with vinyl flooring. In the past month however (owner has been hospitalized) extended family has been caring for Bluesea and she has demonstrated that she remembers the rules about “business outside”.

Bluesea will do best in an adult home with humans who will love to snuggle with her. She’s a committed Seahawks football fan and roots for the Edmonton Oilers or the Canucks.

** UPDATE - BOTH PUPS HAVE FOUND THEIR NEW FAMILIES AND ARE IN A FOSTER TO ADOPT HOME** Thanks to everyone who shared, it really does make a difference!!

We are saddened by the lack of interest in our 15 week old Dachshund X Jack Russell pups .... they are both very sweet,

Rose is more Jack Russell personality and Nico is more Dachshund personality ....

Rose could be an only dog but needs a yard and someone who is active, older kids are OK

Nico does need another dog in the home, he is a pretty chill puppy who loves to cuddle and play

Both are house trained and crate trained

This is Annie… She’s about three years old. Great Pyrenees x Lab… She is very sweet and friendly. Annie has been living outdoors on a chain on a big property up at 100 mile… Sadly, she is not spayed yet and has had a couple of litters… We really want to get her spayed and out of there ASAP …. They have already had their first snowfall….… We need a foster foster home… We can transport her to the mainland… Please reach out if you are interested in either fostering or fostering to adopt

Nico is an 11-12 week old Male Mini Dachshund X Jack Russell weighing under 7lbs
This adorable little guy is sweet, smart and full of life.

Currently fostered with a vet tech, he gets lots of socializing with humans and other dogs Nico needs a home with another smallish balanced dog that likes to play. Nico has not been around children but may do well with older, respectful kids

Nico is a cuddler as you can see from his pictures :)

Nico came to us from a hoarding situation and was initially fearful of human touch, but he is totally transformed and loves his people & does well with other small dogs ….

Nico did have demodex mange and has been treated, he now only requires a little medicated bath every 3 days for the next week or so, which will heal his skin and allow the hair to grow back over the next few weeks. Whomever adopts him will need to commit to continuing with this protocol … our rescue will cover the costs

Nico would do well with someone who either works from home or is retired …. Because of his age she needs to be let out every 2-3 hours

This little guy is not made for condo life, he needs a secure yard to explore and play in
he will need to be neutered when old enough.

Rose is an 11-12 week old Female Mini Dachshund X Jack Russell weighing under 7lbs
This adorable little gal is sweet, smart and full of life. Rose already sleeps thru the night in her crate.

Pretty much housetrained if you let her out every 1.5-2 hrs. Loves her food. Her curious nature makes her very eager to learn.

Currently fostered with a Pug. Rose would do best in a home with another smallish balanced dog that likes to play. Rose would be comfortable with older, respectful kids

Rose is very comfortable in her crate for up to 2 hours in the day, although she whines for a few seconds she falls asleep quickly. She plays fetch already and is very inquisitive and busy pup. She skips down the hallways and always has a wagging tail to greet you.

This 3 yr old Great Pyrenees X Lab is located in Lone Butte BC. Annie is on 20 acres but is tied up and not allowed to run around like the other dogs on the property ..... she chases the horses.

Annie would love a family of her own, she is a family dog who loves attention. Annie has lived her life in a rural setting but would also do well in a quiet community in a house with a secure fenced yard .... with or without another dog. She would not do well with smaller children just because she has some basic manners to learn, she does jump up, she just gets so excited to see you

The puppies arrived a few days ago, and have gone from being really scared to loving every minute of affection… They’re all such nice pups… As soon as their medical needs are taken care of, they will be up for adoption… Although we feel like there might be a few Foster fails at this point… Thank you to Carmen and Leslie and Patricia for transporting 🙏🙏🙏
