To anyone who may have received weird calls, texts, or IMs this past week – I was not hacked. I apologize for causing concern with friends and family.

In hindsight, my intent and motivation were solid, but I should have done my research on new meds.

So, the purpose of this post is to share my experience with Mental Health while on protocols for long-term chronic medical regimens in this new virus paradigm and challenging environment.

I caught RSV a couple of weeks ago, and recovery has been a bitch. I caught RSV a couple of weeks ago, and recovery has been a bitch & a half, and Marybeth has been getting hammered by Covid and just starting to feel somewhat decent. I'm high-risk and was hospitalized and came very close to being intubated.

We’re reviewing all of my conditions and medications now that my primary care provider is the VA. I have checked in with the mental health team. I am also checking in with mentors.

That being said, some of my unusual actions this week were due to standard Mental health medications interacting with steroids (prednisone and COPD inhalers). That's not a cop-out. It was my screw-up. I know to be more responsible. There are no buts about it.

As vigilant and aware as MB and I are of my blind spots, strengths, and shortcomings, we stopped taking COVID and RSV seriously, and we both got slammed.

My people know I've battled cancer since 2011 – in remission since 2018 - and have been sober from alcohol since 05/05/97; my family and dear friends gifted me an intervention, and though my path has had many ups and downs, I am grateful and fortunate to have never craved a drink.

I hope this is helpful, but if I fan flames with some anti-whatever, I don't give two f***s...

I am well, and MB is, too.
