Our little ones are starting to wean. They're part of the fruit salad litter, so everyone meet Plum and Peach (Fostering on behalf of Rescue Me Animal Sanctuary)
I'm sorry to say that we lost all three of our little ones. Sadly I think their lack of food before arriving with us and them being incredibly underweight just stacked the odds against them. You'll be met on Rainbow Bridge by by the members of th Fantastic Fourpaws household who are no longer with us
I upgraded the puppy pen today as we're starting to wean them. Here they are with their fluffy bodyguard Oogie (Fostering on behalf of Rescue Me Animal Sanctuary)
Sadly we lost our little black and white baby today. His sisters are snuggled up in their incubator together, as warm and safe as we can make them (Fostering on behalf of Rescue Me Animal Sanctuary)
Never a dull moment here as always! We have our 2 little puppies who are 22 days old today that are doing well and on 4 hourly feeds now and these little cuties arrived today as an emergency. There's 3 in our little incubator and they are all so small, but one is very, very tiny. So I now have 2 sets of handrear babies currently. Fingers crossed for these ones please (Fostering on behalf of Rescue Me Animal Sanctuary)
Our final one of the "where is the name from" is Randall. He's named after the lizard monster from Monsters Inc and came to us as a rescue named Jack, so we obviously couldn't keep that name!
Jack turned 5 years old yesterday. We've had him since 5 weeks old (along with his 6 brothers and sisters!) and this was the 1st picture I ever took of him, he came for a cuddle, fell asleep and put his little claws in my heart there and then. He's grown up to be the most fun loving, playful, treat obsessed boy, who's great with every new foster we bring in and we're so lucky to have him
Scrump is next in our "Where is the name from" series. She came as a palliative foster with a large mammary mass and was the cutest little foodie ever. Every meal we made, she got a smaller and rattie safe version
Sven is next in our "Where is the name from" information. He was a super speedy, crazy little boy, that didn’t even really slow down as he got older.
Next in our "Where is the name from" is the lovely Bowtruckle. She's a sweet lady, who hates any fruit or veg and was brought into the rescue with her babies. She came as a temporary foster and never left
Next up in our "Where is the name from" is Niffler. She's one of two in the Fourpaws household not to follow the Disney theme of naming. She was a lovely little rescue hamster
Hello World! Sadly we've lost 2 of the 4 pups, but the remaining 2 have started to open their eyes today. They're feeding well but are being very closely monitored for any signs of problems (Fostering on behalf of Rescue Me Animal Sanctuary)
Next up in our "Where is the name from" is our latest foster fail, Merida. She's named after the non-traditional Princess from Brave. She's fiesty and fun!
Next up in "where is the name from" is Eve. She's Flits sister, although the 2 couldn't be more different. She's named as the eco-robot from Wall-E. She's a super little character and a chatterbox!
Next up in "where is the name from" is Flit. She's named after the little hummingbird in Pocahontas. The name really suits her as she's dainty and flits from place to place
Next in "where is the name from" was our elderly and very loud lady, Yzma. She came as a holiday foster at 16 years young and never left, passing away shortly after her 18th birthday. She's named after the villain in The Emperors New Groove, who turns into a cat
Next in "where is the name" from is our handsome and super friendly Jack. We can't quite decide if he's named after Jack Skellington from The Nightmare before Christmas, or Jack Sparrow from The Pirates of the Caribbean. As a fun fact, we kept him because Chris kept saying "never let go Jack" from Titanic and I felt guilty about putting him up for adoption
Next in "where is the name" from is our little slinky Meeko, named after the racoon sidekick from "Pocahontas" Can you figure our our theme for names yet?
Never a dull moment here in the Fourpaws household! We got 4 emergency admits last night as their Mum is poorly and had no interest in them. Our wonderful friend Charlotte has the other 4, as 8 is too much for one person. Welcome to the Fourpaws Foster Family (Fostering on behalf of Rescue Me Animal Sanctuary)
Next is "where is the name" from is our lovely Oogie, named after the villain from "The Nightmare before Christmas"
Sorry to say our little man didn't make it. He wasn't with us long enough to name him sadly, so I nicknamed him jellybean
Meet the newest foster kitty. This lovely came to us from a street cat giving birth. 2 kittens sadly were already gone and mother ran away hissing when they tried to trap her. The decision was made to bring this little one to me and Mum will be trapped later. There was another sibling that was rushed to a vets, but sadly passed away
Next up in "where is the name from" is our lovely Mole, named after this character in Atlantis
Next up in our "where did the name come from" series is Eyks. She's named because the lead of the rescue took a phonecall about her as she was travelling back from the Isle of Skye. I don't like the name Skye as it's very common in the veterinary world and so we went with Eyks. Can anyone see why?
Sat with this handsome boy yesterday for a few hours as he gets upset if he doesn't have company. We went for a little short and slow walk, had treats and cuddles and a little nap. He's called Bert and is with Rescue Me Animal Sanctuary looking for a palliative care foster home
Meeko turned 6 and Mole celebrated a Rainbow birthday of being 9 today (6 years over the bridge). Meeko has celebrated with her favourite treats
Tiny little houseguest for the night while we try and source a rescue space for them
Something a bit different, let's see what your companions are named after. I suspect most of you may now realise we have a theme among our fourpaws in this house. First up we have Lilo and Stitch
There might be exactly 4.5 years age difference between these 2, but they love each other so much, even if it means squishing a bed to sleep on it instead of in it (Jack and Eyks)

Hiccup is safely in her furever home, we've already had lots of lovely updates, so I thought I'd share a video of her playing with Merida, with supurrvision from Eve, from earlier this week. #handrear #rescuecat #tuxedocat
Flit was having a field day playing with a dried dandelion stalk she stole (drying out for Bowtruckle to eat), before Merida stole it from her. Yes, the black and white beauty is Merida, who, at almost 6 months old is bigger than an almost 2 year old Flit. Guest appearance from 7 week old Hiccup who decided to stalk Flit, then Merida and then play in a box (Fostering on behalf of Rescue Me Animal Sanctuary) #neveradullday #rescuecat #fluffycat #handrear #tuxedocat
Merida giving little Hiccup a wash this morning, while Hiccup plays with her tail. This is the first kitten Merida has met and she's being so good with her (Fostering on behalf of Rescue Me Animal Sanctuary) #handrear #tuxedocat
These not so little spuds are 4 weeks old today and weaning is going well. They have a breakfast bottle this morning and will have a bedtime bottle, but otherwise are eating all on their own (with some puppy milk added so it's softer and they recognise the smell). I've forgot to mention that top to bottom their names are Venus, Mars and Saturn (Fostering on behalf of Rescue Me Animal Sanctuary) #handrear #puppylove
Flit loves this gingerbread house, Jack was waiting for his turn and Eve just wanted scritches. Eve is back under vet care as her skin along her back has flared up, but it's not as bad as her head was #christmascats #fluffycat #chattycat
So I accidently brought home a little roll of bandage material. Hopscotch stole it while I was emptying my uniform and decided it was the best toy ever and must be guarded at all costs. Jack couldn't work out what this little demon was up to. It's normal for kittens to do this with certain toys, and we just let her get on with it, if our cats decide to step in, they will, much like a Queen would with a litter. Volume on for this! (Fostering on behalf of Rescue Me Animal Sanctuary) #rescuecats #handrear #tuxedocat #gingercat
Flit is normally incredibly photogenic, so enjoy a little video of her derping with her blep! #rescuecats #fluffycat #blep
Sorry we've not posted for a few days, we've been very busy crafting for our small business as we have a Christmas Fayre in 7days! We made some homemade catnip teabags and this is some (cooled) catnip tea. None of the cats quite know what to do as they keep trying to rub their faces in it! #rescuecats #gingercat
Hopscotch had a pretty boring day today as we were in work but there were only 3 of us in, so she didn't get the usual attention and slept most of the day. We've made up for it with playtime when we've got home. She's a little unsure of this toy at times but listen to her pitter patter paws when she chases it (Fostering on behalf of Rescue Me Animal Sanctuary) #handrear #fosterkittens
Hopscotch is such a happy little kitten! This week we start the weaning mousse, she will get very messy. (Fostering on behalf of Rescue Me Animal Sanctuary) #fosterkittens #handrear #tuxedokitten #rescuesaveslives
I was cleaning and moved the Catit UK speed circuit, so Mando and Flit decided to play in it. Flit is incredibly gentle with Mando, although he doesn't afford her the same respect and goes in like a raptor (Fostering Mando on behalf of Rescue Me Animal Sanctuary) #fosterkitten #rescuecatsofinstagram #greycat #tuxedokitty #handrear
Mando has the cutest little ear wiggles when he's feeding. Volume up to hear how loud he is feeding! (Fostering on behalf of Rescue Me Animal Sanctuary) #fosterkitten #handrearing
The little ones were having a wander around the kitchen after they had been fed, but I think they got a bit lost! (Fostering on behalf of Rescue Me Animal Sanctuary) #fosterkittens #blackcat #handrear
The sad reality of rescue work at the moment, only lost Eirik this morning but my handrearing skill have been called into work again. This little one and their 2 siblings were dropped off last night after being discovered wet, cold and in a dirty outside area. Mum could not be found after hours of searching. This one has great lungs! #rescuekitten #fosterkittens #handrear
Meeko is the only Fourpaws not in this video as she was causing mayhem upstairs. People often think that it's chaotic living with 7 cats, but they all get on well and enjoy cuddle time in between their playtime. Oogie was snoozing next to the couch but of course got up to walk off when I started recording! #rescuecat #sleepingcat
