Rudy has limited eyesight but look at him play.
Olives test results are back and she needs our continued help, support and prayers 🙏
Many of you remember Olive and her story.
She’s had a rough road since coming into rescue last August. She was found in a cardboard box sitting in a co-workers driveway, 97 degrees at about 2 weeks old. Olive was the only one to survive. If you haven’t followed Olives story (or if you have) please watch the attached video.
Yesterday we got the phone call confirming that Olive is positive for FIP 😭 so now we know why she has been back and forth with slow development and illness. Her signs and symptoms mimicked both Nelly and Queen Tia.
Thankfully after being through this a few times we decided to start treatment for FIP before getting the final results. We had the medication we purchased for Tia that she never got to use. On February 28th we started with the BOVA GS441524 as well as liquid Iron and B12 as she was severely anemic, dehydrated and running a high fever. We started SubQ fluids and are mixing up a concoction of high calorie food to supplement what she is eating on her own due to her weight loss. She’s 7 months and just 4 lbs.
Thankfully she’s responding to treatment so far. After 48 hours her temperature dropped and she wasn’t as aggressive with biting. We are now one week in to treatment and she is eating dry food again, the sores in her mouth (stomatitis) have healed and she’s playing again.
Treatment will last 84 days, with the first 42 days being the toughest and most crucial. During this time she will be weighed weekly to increase the dose as needed. She will also need several checks of her bloodwork to make sure treatment is working. During treatment we need to keep her routine as normal as possible and avoid causing her stress as it could interfere with treatment.
For those who have treated a kitten with FIP you know how costly it is. Thankfully it has been approved in the US and is slightly cheaper than having to order out of the count

Want to learn more about Billy? Read his story below:
Hi, my names Billy and I want to tell you how I got here. In September of 2023 I was found crying on a person's porch in York city hoping they'd let me in their home. I was in rough shape with my head tilted and infection pouring out of my ear and running down my face and body. My ear infection was horribly painful but I was still in good spirits and welcomed love and attention with purrs and cuddles.
My Foster mom took me in and got me all cleaned up, and the rescue got me to the vet to have my ear checked out. It turned out that I had a polyp growing in my ear that caused the infection to develop. The nice vet removed the Polyp and gave me meds to help my ear infection. Unfortunately because of the damage done I now get ear infections really easily but they clear up quickly with meds from the vet.
I love my Foster home but I am ready to find my own forever family like the other Foster Kitties have. My purrfect family is one that will love me forever and show me what forever truly means.
I get along with everyone, other cats of all ages, dogs, and even children. My Foster family's daughter likes to dress me up in silly clothes, and make me look stylish! I love belly rubs and cuddles, and I promise to love you for ever and ever if you give me that chance.
I have waited so long for my forever family, but 2025 is going to be my year I can feel it!
Love
Billy

Our Beautiful Queen Tia
Oh Tia 😭 I’m not sure how I can even write this. While our hearts are broken 💔 you my beautiful girl are no longer suffering. We did everything we could to heal you and make you well. Your FIP medicine will arrive tomorrow, you fought so hard to hold on but this morning your little lungs and heart just couldn’t anymore. Seeing you laying in bed with Kevin this morning propped on my pillow to help your breathing broke our hearts. Neither of us wanted to leave you, but had to. I prayed the whole way to work for God to end your suffering if he wasn’t able to heal you. Wendy came to stay with you till we could get you into Dover at 10:30 but we didn’t need that appointment because you took your last breath laying in Wendy’s arms. She covered you up till we could get home. You looked so peaceful, just like you were sleeping only with no more pain or struggles.
It is so different tonight, we aren’t mixing special food up, cooking chicken livers, force feeding you and doing SubQ fluids like we’ve done for the past three weeks.
Tonight we sit here sad for your passing but grateful for picking you up on May 20th saving you from living outside alone at just 3 weeks old. You gave us so much joy the past 7 months. You were always waiting to curl up on someone’s lap. You left the grandkids carry you around, they all loved you too.
When you started hiding on November 23rd I thought it was odd, you never hid. Then you didn’t have an appetite, but you always loved your wet food in the morning. So when you wouldn’t eat and I didn’t find your little mouse in the dry food dish I knew something was wrong. Then came the seizures. A visit with Dr. Dan showed you had a fever and your bloodwork was off. We hoped the seizures were from the seizure and infection and that seemed to be true as we didn’t see anymore. Four days later you fever had come down some, you bloodwork was about the same but you continued to lose weight and now weighed only 3lb 7oz., le
