𝗧𝗔𝗙 𝗔𝗱𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 🐱💖
After 631 days in care, Suki went to her forever home a week and a half ago! We were cautiously optimistic since Suki had lived in a pet free foster home while in our care. We knew a slow introduction would be key, and yesterday we were thrilled to receive this heartwarming update from her adopter:
When Suki came into our lives, we became instant friends. Her sassy personality and hilarious play antics had us laughing right away. She’s also a total snuggle bug! Introducing her to our resident cat has been an adventure, but with lots of playtime and a slow, steady approach, they’re gradually getting to know each other and even boop noses a few times a day. Now, Suki spends her days happily racing up and down the stairs, playing with feather toys, and exploring every nook and cranny of our home. She’s brought so much joy and energy into our lives!

Sonja and her family have fostered some of TAF’s most vulnerable felines over the last five years! Whether their foster had medical needs or required socialization, they’ve never shied away from the challenge. Here’s what they had to share about their fostering experience:
“We’ve been fosters with the Avery Foundation for five years, helping socialize cats and caring for them until they find their forever home. Some cats stay with us for a few weeks, others for many months. Each cat is different, but all of them have taught us about love, enjoying the present moment, and detachment. Ten cats later our hearts are fuller.
We can’t say enough good things about The Avery Foundation. They genuinely care about the rescues, have rigorous procedures, and provide full support to fosters.

Although Furgus and Elora are available for adoption individually, we would love to see them adopted together as they’ve begun to develop a loving bond!
Brought together by chance when they were both found abandoned, they found comfort in one another. Elora is a few weeks older than Furgus and took on a sisterly role teaching him how to play and groom himself and as he gets older, Furgus has started to lovingly groom Elora.
Elora and Furgus both love to play and would make great additions to an active and playful family!
Please note that Elora and Furgus are only available for adoption in a pair or to a home with another kitten or young feline who would make an appropriate playmate. Their adoption fee is $250/each or $450 pair and includes deworming, core vaccines (FVRCP/rabies), neuter/spay surgery and microchipping.
