Maddie is just as smart as she is cute. Excited to see how well she progresses these next 6 weeks!
Impulse control refers to a dog’s ability to resist its natural urges and follow commands from its owners. It is an essential part of dog training that can improve their obedience, problem-solving skills, and overall behavior.
Everyday tasks like getting the mail are great opportunities to sharpen those training skills. In most circumstances you do not want to repeat your commands, but Meeko struggles with his impulse control and for safety, being near traffic, I felt it was important to give him a couple extra “stays”.
