If you are scheduled for daycare and it
Is raining….unless you direct us otherwise your dog will go out , your dog will be wet, your dog may be dirty and your dog may smell like a wet dog. We do not have indoor play areas. If you do not want your dog wet he/she will be allowed potty breaks and then returned to a kennel. If you have questions, don’t understand how we operate or are unsure of our facilities please ask. It is beneficial for all Involved not to assume. Not everyone uses our services for socialization however communication is key to understanding how we work and what your intentions are.

Going to ask once again to please be aware of any changes in your pup that may signify illness. We are reaching that time of year when kennel cough and other viral infections are prevalent.

If you are a currently a registered client of ours you will be receiving an informational email within the week in regards to the current waivers, deadlines, vaccines and Sept 1st rates.

Please be vigilant when you are out and about. Don’t let your pups drink from community bowls. This can be contracted just in passing. If your dog displays any of these signs please leave them home for the safety and health of all. There is never a charge for cancelling.

‼️OUTBREAK UPDATE‼️
On Friday, The State of Delaware Veterinarian, Dr. Karen Lopez, confirmed three separate shelters and one local rescue have been affected by this canine influenza outbreak. Due to the severity of this illness, they have issued a control order mandating that all Delaware shelters and rescues suspend out-of-state transports, as well as out-of-state intakes or adoptions for the next 30-days. This means no dogs in Delaware can be adopted to or surrendered from out-of-state, regardless of their present health. This control order does not apply to cats.

As this illness has spread to shelters state-wide, it is likely within our community as well. If your pet exhibits any of the following symptoms, please seek immediate veterinary care: persistent coughing or sneezing, vomiting, lethargy, fever, nasal discharge, eye discharge, or loss of appetite.

If you are scheduled for daycare Monday - Wednesday this week please check your email. If you are scheduled and did not receive an email please let me know. This does not affect boarding only daycare. We hope you had a great holiday, and your weekend is just as wonderful.

Good afternoon playhouse family. I hope everyone is fairing well in this heat. Have received a few calls about cancelling due to heat and Incoming weather. Please do what you feel is best for your pup and there is never a charge for cancelling. We completely understand and respect your decision. We just ask that you cancel through the scheduling site, shoot us an email, leave a message or send us a text. That we way know you are not coming. Also a friendly reminder that we are closed June 29-July 7 for daycare and boarding unless you have already made arrangements with us. See you tommorow.

I guess we are sort of up and running again Not sure how it happened but I won’t tease you and take it away. Please be kind, courteous and respectful. The Videographer does her best. Please don’t abuse this for others who truly get joy from it. The intended purpose of this page is to see our pups enjoying their time, interacting with others, iformational, update purposes and showing support for each other. Negativity and intentions otherwise will result in permanent deletion which is not beneficial to us or the playhouse families. Please don’t be that person. I will also take this moment to ask that everyone check their emails for important updates on policies, documentations etc. Now let’s get back to enjoying those babies.

Good afternoon Playhouse Family,
I have had a few calls in regard to incoming weather and tornado watch that has been posted. Due to the weather we will unlock the doors at 2 for anyone who wishes to pick up early. You do not have to pick up early only if you would like. We are here until 530 as always, we just wanted to give you that option for those who did not want to chance getting caught up in it.

Hey all I can’t thank you enough for supporting Axel. He didn’t place where he needed to move on but we are more than appreciate for your support and encouragement.
