Red boy is officially 14wo today and it's been 6 weeks since he moved in 😃 On Monday he'll begin phase 2 of his training - it's ecollar time (should take two weeks to learn), I'll be adding some more commands and I'll be teaching him to swim 😎 Here's a list of what Porter has learned in the past 6 weeks (phase 1 of his training). Keep in mind that he only trains for 10m 2-3 times a day on his basics so you don't need to put in a ton of time to get results you just need to be patient and consistent (7 days a week).

- Excellent in his crate. He can easily do 6 to 7 hours straight without barking, whining, trying to escape or having an accident
- 99% potty trained. He's only 14wo so I expect a few more accidents
- Knows all his EK9T basics (come, place, down and no - I don't teach my crew sit)
- Can wait with eye contact at thresholds and at feeding time (1-1000 count)
- Can hold place for two hours
- He's prong trained
- Walks excellent on leash
- Can walk on a treadmill
- Great in the car
- Great with his ears getting cleaned
- Great with his nails getting cut
- Great getting a bath
- Great at the vet

Puppy tip! When I get up in the morning I do NOT immediately let Porter out of his crate (same rules for when I come home too). Depending on how busy my morning is I make him wait 15-30m before letting him out. I do this to avoid separation anxiety and I never want him to assume anything.

Here's a short clip of bath number 5 for dude - just like with everything else he's improving at warp speed! Some bath tips for those wondering - let's begin...

- All my personal pups get a bath a week until they're 6 months old and after that it's on an as need basis (MG hasn't had a formal bath in 3 years)
- I only use shampoo once a month so 4 times total. All the other baths are just water
- I use Old Spice Swagger body wash on him
- I split between towel drying and using a blow dryer
