Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers for me.
I wasn't feeling good for about a week.
Mom kept pushing to get me better.
A had a really high fever. I got so tired of Dad taking my temperature. It wasn't in the mouth but at the other end.
I got a couple shots and then Dad and Mom made me eat that yucky charcoal paste.
That was awful.
But the next day I was feeling good.
Today I tried to get myself some treats.
Mom said I'm back to normal.

I liked the attention but not going to make them pamper me any longer.
I don't want to know what they'd give me next.

Can this sweet boy get some thumbs up?
Patch is 95% back to his normal self.
We called our one vet service yesterday and got 2 tubes of charcoal.
We didn't know they came in big long tubes, like you'd get caulk and we didn't have anything to dispense it in.
So we called our other vet service and got smaller tubes.
We gave Patch the charcoal paste early evening yesterday.
He wasn't happy.
This morning he was up drinking water, eating and walking around.
I'm not saying the charcoal is what made him better, but I think that with a combination of everything else, helped.
He's been up moving around most of the day.
I gave him another branch of leaves and he made some decor for his head. Lol

It took a village to get through this very long week.
Thanks to the Vets who tried, but mainly felt it was a respiratory issue.
Thank You to Mandy Diehl and Kelsey Smith for suggesting the Banamine and for Kelsey bringing it over.
Without them mentioning it and checking with another Vet, we wouldn't have given it to him, because our Vet said he can't have it with the antibiotics he was given.
Without the Banamine and getting that fever under control, he would not have made it.
Thank You to Brenda Petrovich for sending me the message about your horse and encouraging to use the charcoal.
Before I got the message from Brenda, I had googled about that and read it will neutralize toxins and also help with digestive issues.
I was going to suggest it to try, but the Vet said it would need done in so many hours, so I didn't.
I took Brenda's message as a sign and told Sunshine we're trying this.
I said what will it hurt.

I knew what was coming, because the Vet told hubby that Patch was in a bad way, on Saturday.
If we wouldn't have tried all these things, Patch either would have died or the Vet would have wanted to put him down.

Please be a voice for your animals.
They can't talk and tell you what's wrong.
They need you to help them.
Do what you feel is right, even if a professional doesn't think so.

I'm just SO happy that I have my little buddy back.
Thank you to all those who have prayed for him, asked about him and cared. ❤️

Now you get to be bored with all the videos. Lol

Patch went outside today!
Just for a minute, but it's a start.
His fever is down only a bit. 103.1
Last evening was 103.8.
He gets up a little more and eating a bit more.
He's looking better.

I had a friend message me with a story about her sick horse. They tried everything and finally they gave him charcoal.
We didn't do this with Patch because the Vet told us, it had to be done in a certain time frame, if he ate the poisonous plant.
We called the Vet and said we want to try it.
They gave us some and we gave it to him.
Hopefully if there's any toxins in his stomach, the charcoal will do the trick.

Please keep praying for my sweet boy.
Keep fighting Patch! I know you can do it. ❤️

This afternoon we brought the forest to Patch.
He still wasn't eating.
I've been researching anything I could think of.
Went to the grocery store yesterday and even tried spinach, with no luck.
I read about collecting dry leaves,or even fresh cut leaves.
So, we cut some branches and put in his stall.
He perked up for a bit and was eating.
I was so happy for that!
He didn't eat a lot but it's a start.
He laid back down
His fever is at 103.8. Better than 105, 106 which it's been.
I wish we knew what's causing it to stay high.
Praying the antibiotics and fever reducer, kick in and he continues to get better.
Baby steps but in the right direction.

Come on Patch, you got this! ❤️

Please say a prayer for our sweet boy Patch. He has a high fever and isn't doing well.

The Dr came to visit today and took blood from Mari.
She's going to find out if we're getting a baby donkey.
I'm definitely talking to Dad about building us our own barn.
We're not ready for all that. ~Patch

It was raining out today.
We weren't going out in it because we don't like to get wet..
Sometimes those donkeys chase us out but we run right back in.
We need a lock on the door so we can lock them out.
They're always pestering us.
I think we need a vacation. ~Patch

15/06/2023

We love Summer vacation.
Our morning plans, turned into our whole day plans.
Until those donkeys, chased us away.
We're still waiting for Dad to build us our own barn.
Mom said, keep dreaming..

Joey got "neutered " today.
He was pretty quiet the rest of the evening.
Maybe now, he won't chase us all over the place, like a wild man.
We don't think he's going to be quiet for long.
We're liking that he's in his room.
Dr. said there's a good chance Joey's going to be a Papa. We'll know in about a year.
I'm asking Dad to build us a separate barn.

Things were nice and quiet around here until Mom and Dad brought these noisy things home. He sounds like he's going through puberty or something.
Such a squeaky voice.
Mom said he just needs more practice.
I say, Gilb's and I need either ear plugs or our own barn. ~Patch

Dad put halters on Mari and Joey, so they can get used to them.
The farrier is coming soon.
We're hiding out in the back.
We still are hoping they aren't staying, but it doesn't look like they're going anywhere.
Atleast we get some peace at night.
They go in their stall and we have the whole barn and outside to ourselves.
We wait all day for that. ~Patch

Hi, I've been lacking making posts on this page because I post most on my personal page.
I know there's some on here that aren't on my personal account.
I also remember some loved the videos and said it brightens their day.
Please let me know if your interested and I'll start back with the posts.
Thanks!

We had to say goodbye to our sister Lucy tonight. It's a sad night in the barn. ~Patch

Happy Thanksgiving!
We had visitors today and we had to share our play area with the donkeys.
We're still trying to figure them out.
We don't know about this. ~Patch
