Lulu's Barkery We make and sell homemade dog treats out of our home to help fund medical expenses for stray and unwanted dogs.
(1)

We have been making homemade dog treats for our personal dogs for a few years. Then in 2015 our beloved Cocker Spaniel, Lulu became ill and was later diagnosed with a fungi infection. We started Lulu's Barkery to offset the enormous medical bills we would be facing. Unfortunately, the infection had spread to her brain and September 25, 2015 we said goodbye to our precious girl. Although she is dea

rly missed we wanted her memory to live on so we continue to bake some of her favorite treats. The majority of our proceeds go to stray, unwanted and "free to good home" dogs here on Facebook and Craigslist. Most of the dogs that come in to our home have had no prior vetting. Since starting Lulu's Barkery we have vaccinated, spayed or neutered 15 dogs in our community as well as surrounding communities. With the help of a couple of local rescues, that's 15 dogs that didn't go to an already overcrowded rural shelter.

Our Story

We have been making homemade dog treats for our personal dogs for a few years. Then in 2015 our beloved Cocker Spaniel, Lulu became ill and was later diagnosed with a fungi infection. We started Lulu's Barkery to offset the enormous medical bills we would be facing. Unfortunately, the infection had spread to her brain and September 25, 2015 we said goodbye to our precious girl. Although she is dearly missed, we wanted her memory to live on so we continue to bake some of her favorite treats. The majority of our proceeds go to stray, unwanted and "free to good home" dogs here on Facebook and Craigslist. Most of the dogs that come in to our home have had no prior vetting. Since starting Lulu's Barkery we have fed, vaccinated, spayed or neutered over 30 dogs in our community as well as surrounding communities. With the help of a couple of local rescues, that's 30 dogs that didn't go to an already overcrowded rural shelter.
