:: this week of the Mantrailing Global Instructor Course has been truly wonderful - brilliant hands-on experience, fun and engaging instruction from Rhiannon Bevan, new friends, and of course amazing fun and travel with bestie and training partner Sarah-Jane Brenner-Petti. 1/3 of the testing was this afternoon (teaching), a written exam and more teaching evaluation tomorrow. I’m sad to see this course end but couldn’t be more excited to bring Mantrailing to Calgary’s dog community - it’s going to be a game changer!

Shirley is also having a great week of sniffing, playing, making new friends, and seeing new sights.

Here it is, right here!

This is something I frequently need to remind myself of. I often see other dogs, other trainers, other people and think to myself "why aren't I there yet?" "why can't my dog be like that?", "why can't I do that?" and it always comes back to this.... The road they are traveling is not mine to travel. We are all destined for greatness, but our own form of greatness and we can not get there if we take the wrong path.

:: waiting for the vet, a series. I’ve always been lucky to have dogs that mostly really like coming to the vet, even without much work. both think it’s the best outing since there are people and high value food involved. Gilda was a dream gal today for Dr Jen at . Grateful for a clinic that is so thoughtful and gentle, even when all sorts of challenging things are happening (we weren’t one of those challenging things). Remember to go the extra mile to be kind to your vet team — they have tough jobs and any time we can give them grace, we absolutely should.
