So much for 6 ft high fences to contain mustangs….
Thank God she doesn’t have opposable thumbs and that this gate only goes to the boys’ paddock and not to the outside. lol! Love my wild one, Feather girl.
Feather outsmarting me AGAIN.
Angel dressed like a lil English pony today…. It feels so weird to be riding in an English saddle. And yes, my stirrups are wayyyy long.
The mustangs are so much braver than my domestics. I’m using a drill to remove the plexiglass windows and Feather came right into the stall to see what all the noise was about and stood with me the whole time. I think she wishes she had opposable thumbs to really help out.
This Angel is wicked smart! Today I started sending her away from me at liberty to go around a cone which will be the start of a figure 8 at liberty. This short video is the first time I asked her to go away from me and around a cone at liberty after removing the lead line.
My lil wild Angel is amazing. Today, while I was doing my barn chores she wouldn’t leave me alone. She offered trick after trick until I couldn’t ignore her anymore. So, we went to the classroom (the round pen) and I decided to start to teach her to bow. I stood next to her and picked her front leg. As soon as she relaxed the leg, I rewarded her. Next time I picked up the leg, I asked her to rock back. She leaned back an inch, so I gave her a treat. The next time she rocked way back and, put her knee down and rested her head on the ground in a full bow! AMAZING!
Love this incredibly smart freak of nature!!
Silly mustangs playing with a hula-hoop. They are so funny.
