FRIDAY 5th & SATURDAY 6th SEPTEMBER

For those following the details of the big Chihuahua celebration in Adelaide next month, there will be over 200 Chihuahuas on show at Dogs SA - In Kilburn.

Friday 5th Sept - 96 Long Coat judging
Saturday 6th September - 107 Smooth Coat judging & Best in Show

Judging is scheduled to commence each day at 9.30am and would potentially continue until early afternoon depending on multiple factors (weather, scratchings, celebrations 😂 etc.)

This is a great opportunity to meet local & interstate registered Dogs Australia breeders & exhibitors face to face.

Catering: Available
Parking: Free
Weather: Looking decent 🤞

You can bring your own dogs, but they must be on a leash & under effective control at all times - up to date with their immunisations.

Chihuahua Breed Day is Wednesday 3rd September with a combined total of nearly 100 Chihuahuas entered 🥰

Blessed to spend the afternoon with Helen Flavel sharing puppy cuddles.

Helen has had 6 Chihuahuas over the years 🥰

The little babies she particularly came to visit she's had a significant role in welcoming them into the world.

I was born into the dog show world in 1982; I started my show career slowly at age 7, not being entirely obsessed until around 10 years of age after moving from Port Augusta to Adelaide. I have always adored Chihuahuas.

My ethos is simple, Showing Chihuahuas is my hobby, I chose them, they had no choice, therefore they are to be well cared for, loved deeply, and those that do not live with me find the happiest and healthiest homes.

I have created this page so there is a central point for real and honest information about the breed to be easily accessed, and for those looking to welcome a Chihuahua into their home and family an easy central point to ask & seek information.

If I can help direct people in a positive and insightful manor I am happy to help regardless weather you choose to purchase a Chihuahua from me, or rescue a puppy from a shelter - it doesn’t matter, all dogs deserve a loving and safe home.
