Portuguese Water Dogs make great companions for all family members. These dogs have the energy to keep up with children and also make loyal companions for singles or adult-only homes. They love playing ball or going on long walks. They are considered a “working” breed because originally they were trained to herd fish into large fishing nets! As you can imagine, Portuguese Water Dogs love swimming.

•Some Portuguese Water Dogs have wavy hair, while others have curly hair.
•Their hair does not shed. It falls out much like human hair. Portuguese Water Dogs are very loving and obedient and ideal for people with allergies. These dogs are bred in Portugal to help catch fish with fisherman. They are fantastic swimmers with their webbed feet. They come in 3 colours, white, brown and black/white.
