Looking for venue to host adoption event. Pet stores are now asking for liability insurance for outside vendors to do something in store. Maybe a restaurant or Brewing Company with a patio?
Let me know if you know of somewhere.

This handsome boy is Clyde.
This boy came to us a little over 3 years ago from Ohio. Clyde was so happy to be here. He was in foster for a short time, then he was adopted.
I didn't here a word on anything, then the call came. She wanted to surrender. She said it wasn't working.
I told her we were full and had nowhere to put him.
She surrendered Clyde.
I recieved a call from the director saying the owner said he was aggressive, and i needed to pick him up. I said obviously nobody tested him. The director said she did. I told her he is a cling on. He wants to be with you.
Obviously I took him back. Clyde is not aggressive. He is a gentle love bug. He gets along with everyone. He wants to be your best friend. Clyde is a Bassett/Hound mis, and everyone who meets him fall in love.
He loves toys, walks, play, and of course you.
If you are looking for a best friend for life, Clyde is the boy for you.
I had not planned on adopting out, but like on Elna's post my health isn't improving.
Thank you for reading all about Clyde, he's a wonderful boy

Today, I am putting Elna available for adoption.
The reasons why are in the post below.
Elna is a Lab/Shepherd mix who is 8 years old.
After surviving being shot in the head in Beirut, Elna was brought to Canada. It was discovered She had lost her sight in one eye, and is deaf. Don't think this changes her wonderful disposition, as she is smart and sweet as can be.
She loves affection, and will put her paw on your leg to let you know she wants some attention.
She is great with adults and kids, and loves to visit with other dogs.
Elna also prefers the floor to furniture, but she loves affection and a nice blanket to lay on.
Elna has had multiple surgeries, and had 3 here in Windsor. She had a spit gland removed, and also had knee surgery.
There are over a 1000 pellets lin her head, it was safer to leave them in than to remove.
Elna is good in the car and is great on leash.
If you are looking to adopt a special girl, Elna is the girt for you.
Please send message or call 519 566-9003 .

It is with a heavy heart i find myself writing this, but at this point I have little choice.
For the Love of Paws has been closed now for sometime now.
We had 2 dogs returned, so I thought I would be able to care for 4 dogs. I realize now I can't.
My health is not getting better, and after the medical disaster in the last year, I know i have to say goodbye to the wonderful Elna.
Over three years ago we welcomed sweet Elna to our rescue. Elna came to us from Beitut Lebanon, where she suffered the unimaginable act, she was shot in the head. She had over 1000 pellets in her head, and damage to her jaw. Most of the pallets couldn't be removed, and it was safer to leave them. Yet all she wanted was affection and love.
Her foster family fell in love and adopted her.
The couple moved from a house and to a condo, then crated and covered her.
She started barking and the couple called me and said she is aggressive and they were returning her.
I brought her back to my home where she was having a barking issue, and I also noticed she wasn't responding to basic commands.
I proceeded to bang two bowls together with no response. I brought her to our vet where they said she was deaf. The gun blast took her hearing.
They also discoveredshe was blind in her left eye.
Now I knew the reason for the barking, it was the crate. When I didn't crate the barking stopped.
I then moved and she was doing well.
I did post for a very longtime, with no serious response.
I then received a call from a lady over 2 hours away who desperately wanted Elna to be hers.
I never did much adoption outside Essex county, but I was willing to try for Elna.
It was a wonderful visit, and Elna had found her forever home, so I thought.
One year later, the lady called and had to surrender due to medical reasons, so I brought Elna back to Windsor.
I planned to keep her not wanting to put her through another adoption.
So Elna was part of my gang, and all was fantastic.
I was having some medical issues, but chocked them up to old age. Sadly I found myself in the ER needing emergency surgery.
The surgery discovered a cancerous mass with chemotherapy to follow. Four months later the cancer was gone. Finally some good news.
After 4 months I was back to work, all was good. Almost a year to the day, after tests, I had three stents inserted in my arteries that were blocked. Time off again.
Now living in my motorhome, I realize I can't take care of 3 dogs plus a foster.
So it is with a heavy heart I have to do this.
Tomorrow i will post all Elna's information for adoption.
If you are looking for the most loving, sweet girl, make Elna a part of your family.
Please send message or call 519 566-9003 for more information.
