We are very grateful for a $40 donation that we received today as we're very low on food and out of cat litter except for what is currently in the litterboxes. We currently have $46.36 in the nonprofit's bank account and are out now on a supply run to get cat litter. At the vet with a kitten named Garth Blackwood, born with possible trauma to his spine or deformities resultinv in limited us of his hind legs. Getting him assessed and x-rayed. Would anyone be interested in fostering him and his one surviving sibling and his mother? We have over 20 cats we need to get fixed on a street in Perris. Good news tonight! Val, the injured bird who I found earlier today is now in the very capable healing hands of animal rescuer and rehabilitator Conni Chaffin/Conni Lantzy who runs the Feathers 'n Fur Rehab Team and Feathers 'n Fur Animal Sanctuary out here in the desert in Twentynine Palms. She very graciously agreed to take him in and - according to Conni - Val, who is apparently a Eurasian dove, likely flew into something and hurt his head and his eye. He doesn't seem to be too badly beat up in general though we couldn't really tell how serious his eye injury is when I dropped him off. For now, he is in the best possible place where he will receive the best possible care and I am hopeful that he will be able to fly and be free again. I hope he isn't blind in that eye but if it isn't too severly injured, I'm confident Conni will have him seeing and swooping again very soon. Thank you so much, Conni, for helping him and thank you everyone who supports my animal rescue and Conni's as well.
