Niko is a delightful 3-year-old Akita/Husky mix with a heart full of love and energy. He is a beautiful blend of both breeds, boasting the intelligence and loyalty of an Akita and the playful, spirited nature of a Husky!!
Niko is the perfect family guy he’s kid, dog and cat friendly but please no chickens!!
**Personality:**
Niko is a cuddle enthusiast who adores spending time with his human friends. Whether it's snuggling on the couch or curling up at your feet, Niko is happiest when he's close to those he loves. He has a playful side too, especially when it comes to chasing balls – it's one of his favorite activities!
**Training and Socialization:**
Niko is still in need of some basic training, but he's eager to learn and please. With a bit of patience and consistency, he will thrive and become a well-mannered companion. Niko does well with children and enjoys their company, making him a great family pet.
**Special Considerations:**
Niko experiences some separation anxiety, so he will need a foster home where someone can be with him most of the time. His new family should be ready to provide him with the support and reassurance he needs to feel secure.

Storm is one of our special needs kitties still looking for that special someone to love him forever. He is blind and has limited hearing, but is all love. All is wants is touch and attention. He has an adorable purr and loves to love bite to really just know where you are and to beg for more attention. He's a large cat, over 10 years old, has a healthy appetite, sleeps a lot, pretty good about litter box (best in one spot where he can find it easily), and is so very sweet..he could sit next to you all day and be your best companion. UPDATE 2/3: Wednesday is quickly turning into a lap-lover. She is sweet, quiet, petite, and health is good. Has heart murmur but it is not causing any other symptoms or problems. She is ready for adoption!

Update: Smokey, now renamed Wednesday, is seeing our vet specialist today. She is the sweetest, most well-behaved little girl, ate well and used the litter box like a little lady overnight.
Smokey has arrived in our care from our wonderful shelter partner. After a long ride, she is settling in and going to her foster home tomorrow. She hasn't stopped giving kisses and talking. She has the most adorable fangs.
Taking suggestions for new names to give this adorable girl a fresh start.
She is about 12 yrs old and has a significant heart murmur 4/6, with some concerning diagnostics so far. We have been keeping her quiet and calm as to not disrupt her heart anymore. We will have her see a vet specialist very soon, which will be expensive. She may need lifelong medication, treatment, and monitoring, but we will be right by her side to help her.

Stormy update!
Storm is such a love. All he wants is attention. He would be happiest if you brushed him all day (he especially loves his chin brushed), fed him all the yummiest food possible (fish is his favorite!), and just let him lie in your lap or next to you and he will comfort you to sleep with his precious purr. He is a low maintenance boy. We don't know how old he is and his vet said he's a young kitty in an old man's body. He had a dental cleaning and did great with the anesthesia and recovery without any issues. His bloodwork was good. He has very low vision (seems to only see some shadows) and his hearing is limited. He hears when you are near him and will perk up and can hear low sounds. He responds to touch. He urinates in the box every time but occasionally will poop over the box, so nothing a puppy pad under the box won't cure! He will need a one-level living arrangement to avoid any stairs or areas that he could hurt himself given his hearing and vision impairments. He ignores other cats and dogs, so friendly calm dogs and cats will be just fine with him.

This chatty lady LOVES pets, scratches, and pats of all kind. She loves it so much she often drools and forgets her tongue is sticking out at you 😆
Hannah is one of those cats that would do best during a trial period rather than a traditional meet and greet. Once she’s home with you for a few days and gets to know you, she’s your best friend and will even sleep in your lap. 💜
Hannah is not a fan of loud noises or being picked up so she would do best in a more relaxed household with no young children. Hannah is great with other cats as well.
