It's bedtime here too. The hot water is on the fritz again. Very strange. Still it's been a Terrific Tuesday, Squeaks and I were balcony bums. It was that mild here today. Even a bit of rain. Hope did her usual bird watching along with napping.

Ivy and Violet are still in the bathroom, Ivy comes out of hiding to not only talk to me but also for pets. Violet is still behind the toilet but will let me pet her.

Time to say goodnight! 💤😘 It’s Kitty Bedtime at our house on this Tuesday night, and we are getting ready to head in that direction! We were holding down the fort today while Mommy was working and it was a pretty quiet day. Even Patch was relatively quiet, although he sometimes barks at phantom noises, oh, and crows.🐦‍⬛ Crowls drive him crazy, and they like to watch him from the roof or our neighbor’s pool enclosure. Crows are actually very smart birds, but we don’t know what they think of him - although they don’t see, at all afraid (maybe they think he is funny). We do our bird watching thru the dining room window - and lizards, 🦎 too! Anyway, we are ready to get our Churu, it was already being waved around to get Prince Pasha and Peachie down from the shelf over the fridge. Works every time! So, for now, wishing all my furriends a peaceful and restful night, and sweet dreams and I will see you in the morning! Love 💕 and purrs…

A Cat Matchers volunteer rescued Andy, DOB 9/17/23, along with his brother Archie when they were sick with an upper respiratory infection and severe conjunctivitis. Unfortunately, Archie’s right eye ruptured and it needed to be removed. He kept a pawsitive attitude, though, and is looking for his forever home. He’s sweet and loves to be held and petted. He doesn’t require any special handling, he acts like a normal cat, he just happens to have one less eye. He likes adults, kids, cats, toys, laps and love.

We're going to add something to this. Don't dehumanize and demonize the staff of your local municipal shelter. Yes, there are sh*tty ones out there, go ask the residents of Marlin, TX. Food Lady refuses to share posts saying 'Will be murdered..." the staff does not wake up every morning saying hey, hey, how many animals can we kill today?

Sometimes I just can’t understand online comments even though I know they are coming from a place of concern and compassion.

➡️ Pet peeve alert!!! (I seem to share those a lot, don’t I? 😂) Why do people comment on a post to “do something!”, “don’t turn your back on that animal!”, “OMG, bring that poor baby inside!”, “how can you do nothing?”.

These types of comments are left for a person who is posting for help or advice or maybe posting in hopes of finding a pets owner. They ARE doing something! They are reaching out to the community for help, not snide comments. The part I don’t understand is why are these commenters demanding something out of this person, simply because they found an animal? If the solutions are so easy, why can’t the said commenters come take care of it? Oh yeah, because they are at work or they already have too many animals at home or they can’t afford a pet right now, or the place they live doesn’t allow animals… all the same reasons the original poster is probably posting! 🤔

If you yourself aren’t willing or able to do what you are commenting, why do you think the original poster is able? 🤷🏻‍♀️ My suggestion would be don’t comment, demanding things of them and trying to make them feel guilty, especially if you know you wouldn’t or couldn’t do them yourself.

OFFER SOLUTIONS, if you know of any. If you don’t, share the post so that it might get to someone who CAN help. Writing angry comments isn’t going to change anyone’s mind and it certainly won’t get the cats or kittens the help they need. Please, please don't be this person.

It's Marvelous Monday and Meezer's are marvelous cats, I just wouldn't want to be judged socially by one. Why are they called Meezers by the way?

So far all is peaceable. I left the bathroom door open last night with the child gate up. It was down this morning, but no escapees, no upsets. Da Barbarians seem to be taking everything in stride. Ivy will come out from hiding, she will talk to me and ask for attention. violet is still hiding but will let me pet her. Hopeful I can get photos soon.

Nitey nite! Hey, Everybody! The weekend is winding down, and so we have to start heading off to get our kitty beauty rest! Well, it’s been a kind of crazy day, but we still had fun. Mommy had a bunch of stuff to do, but then decided to just stay home and hang out with us. Well, there was some vacuuming, and a certain crazy 🐶 dog barking (no names mentioned), but actually, Peachie and Poe never even moved out of the way (doesn't bother them at all)! Vacuuming around cats can be a little challenging, but after all, we do what we want (that’s our motto)! We are getting ready to get our treats - litter boxes cleaned, bowls refilled, water fountains running, so we’re good to go - and some great MEEZER art! So, wishing all my furriends a peaceful and restful night, and I will see you in the morning! Love and purrs …

WHEW!! Finally back from running errands. Now on to a Carefree Caturday. Squeaks and Hope are exhausted from guarding the flat. Ivy and Violet are still behind the toilet. Ivy is starting to lean into pets, Violet was in the sink when I went in to brush my teeth this morning. food lady

NEVER trap without a plan. Especially in extreme temperatures! ☀️ Have an appointment lined up. Check the trap frequently. Be mindful if there is shade available or ants in the area. Cover the trap loosely with a towel or sheet to keep the cat calm. Move the cat to the coolest, quietest area possible once trapped. This is all for the animals safety and well being.

We think this is a mighty fine idea. I finally broke down the Chewy's box. Da Barbarians are having a fine time with the paper packaging. I was to lazy to take it to recycle. It's also time to top up the kibble dishes and add the treats.

Ivy is still in the bathroom behind the toilet. While she no longer looks frightened, she still has that wary look. She will let me give her brief pats so we are making progress.

okay, I'm going to get serious about something. This is a huge problem for all of us. Reporting them to FB as we all know is an exercise in futility. So if you spot them here block them and forget them. I block them when ever I spot them. There is another starting to make the rounds. It's about your page is blocked/suspended. It gives a report number, this is so obviously fake it's painful. The English is so bad it's painful, atrocious spelling even worse grammar. Report that in two ways, one it's fake, the other is it's AI. FB takes the last one sort of seriously. Food Lady

We apologize for not being able to deal with the spammer totally yesterday. Did you know you can get into trouble for deleting comments too fast?? Anyway all spammer comments from the sad post are gone and reported. Here is a screenshot in case you would like to report the spammer’s page as a fake page.

An update on Ivy, she is still hiding. I think she's eating but I can't tell. While she has not done a solid in the litter box, she has peed.
