Good afternoon everyone! I hope you’re all having a great Monday!

Just to make you all aware, I will be going on maternity leave as of Tuesday 26th September. I have already contacted those of you that have fur babies who will need treatment whilst I am off and you have a plan in place 😊

I will not be answering any phone calls or messages whilst I am off so if you need any assistance, please contact your local vet and they will be able to help point you in the right direction.

Due to my husband needing emergency eye surgery today, I will not be replying to any messages or emails for the rest of this week. Please bear with me for this short time as I need to concentrate on getting him better.

Paddy has regular soft tissue treatment to help with managing compensatory issues secondary to his osteoarthritis.

As you can see- he finds the whole thing incredibly stressful! 💆🏼‍♀️ 🧖🏼‍♀️ 🐶

Sometimes I really cannot cope with how adorable my patients are! Here is the lovely Ted and Doug holding paws whilst I treat Ted 🥺
I see Ted on a regular basis for assistance in managing osteoarthritis in multiple limbs. I work alongside his referring veterinary surgeon and the pain clinic at Anderson Moores Veterinary Specialists. Together, we ensure Ted is comfortable and able to trot around after his brother Doug ❤️

Rest in peace our beautiful John 💔 ######x

It is with huge sadness that we share the news that John Ellis, our dear colleague at Anderson Moores, died over the weekend.

John was a wonderful person and an incredibly talented vet; time with John never failed to make your day a brighter one. He will be terribly missed by all who knew him.

I know you will join us in sending our heartfelt condolences to John’s family, friends and colleagues.

Good morning from CGVP

Due to a recent tragedy at my other place of work, Anderson Moores Veterinary Specialists, I will not be taking on any new clients for the next few weeks. It has been a horrendous shock to myself and my team and I need to take some time to grieve for the loss of a very special person.
I am sorry for any inconvenience but I hope everyone will understand.

Not long until I will be out running the London Marathon and raising money for Macmillan Cancer support. You never believe that you might be one of the people that hears the words ‘It’s cancer’ but it happens and I was one of those people! I’m so grateful to be able to say that I was one of the lucky ones and the cancer hadn’t spread to my lymph nodes and I therefore avoided chemotherapy. During this super scary time, Macmillan were there to support me and answer all the questions I never realised I would need to ask. Please please help me to reach my fund raising target by donating or even sharing my link- I’m so so grateful to all of you that have been so kind and donated. It means the world to me, really! 😘❤️

Excuse the tired eyes but it’s 6.15am 🥱 This time in 4 weeks I will be running the London Marathon to raise money for Macmillan Cancer support. They really supported me during my skin cancer diagnosis and I want them to continue helping others! It’s really important to me that we all stick together and help people with a cancer diagnosis see that light at the end of the tunnel.

Riley is coming to the end of her rehabilitation plan following a left tibial plateau levelling osteotomy. Riley’s mummy has been working very hard at ensuring Riley is following the rehabilitation plan and then having plenty of rest in between. Well done Riley and Laura 👏🏻

Nancy joined the CGVP crew yesterday and what a perfect patient she is! We have started Physiotherapy to assist with conservative management for a suspected medial patella luxation and possible cruciate ligament disease.

Beautiful Riley is doing very well with her rehabilitation plan. She is 7.5 weeks post TPLO surgery and after having a check up with her surgeon, has been given the go ahead to start gradually increasing her lead walks. Today we ran through all of her exercises and then progressed them so that we continue to challenge her strength, balance, co-ordination and proprioception. Riley is a star patient and I am so proud of how far she has come since surgery ⭐️

This gorgeous boy is Lenny 😍 Lenny had a left total hip replacement at Anderson Moores Veterinary Specialists 4 weeks ago. Lenny is such a lovely boy and has been coping very well with his rehabilitation exercises. His parents have found it challenging to keep him quiet at home but he’s always lovely and settled for his physio sessions 🙊

After 8 years of failed attempts I have finally made it into the London Marathon. It has been a dream of mine for such a long time and now I am running for the charity that helped support me through my cancer diagnosis and treatment.
