It's a sad day at Red Tree Herps. I feel that it's important to share both the ups and downs of breeding. Most of the time there are cute and interesting babies, but sometimes there's disappointing results from a long awaited breeding.
Today Harakhty delivered 10 stillborn babies. They were some pretty morphs, but several seemed underdeveloped.
Harakhty seems to be doing fine. We'll offer her a meal tomorrow after letting her rest.

It's feeding and cleaning day and no one wants to eat. Only 3 out of 10 sand boas decided to eat today. Sigh.
The whites tree frogs were looking funny waiting for meal worms.
But I have do have good news for this year's breedings. Harakhty is about ready to pop and should deliver in the next week or two. And both Thalia and Calliope look like they are ovulating today. So about 90 days from now we should have babies from them 😍

A collaboration breeding with Nate Barnes. My biggest girl, Thalia with Nate's boy Ferdinand. We have albino, anery, paint and splash genes to work with. Can't wait to see the babies from these two!
