The cherry blossom trees are starting to bud so we are starting spring off with a bang with Cherry Blossom shoots!

These 30 minute sessions will take place in Victoria in some truly spectacular locations. You will get all the digital files plus a 5x7 art print in an 8x10 museum quality mat included in the price of your session.

These limited edition shoots don’t stay around for long. As soon as the blossoms fall, it’s the end of this session.

New product alert!!!

I’ve been working on this since August and I can now offer pet pillow shoots! This would be a really cute Christmas present for the dog lover that has everything!

Pillows are made from machine washable canvas and are 16x16 in size.

Watch for details on my pop up shoot on November 5 to get your pup on a pillow!

Shipping takes two weeks so I’m only able to do this shoot on November 5 so you can get it in time for Christmas!

I’m also offering gift certificates for this shoot at a special craft fair on December 5th. Details to come!

Destiny the 10-week-old Great Dane puppy. One of the biggest puppies I've ever photographed. She is a sweet girl with skin like velvet. I can't wait to see what she will look like as an adult.

Another shot of Meg. One of the difficulties of black and white dogs is having enough light to show their eyes. Without a lot of light you can’t get those important catchlights.

It all started with one little girl....

I’ve grown up with dogs around me all my life. We never had anything less than three dogs and my first babysitter was a German Shepherd named Major. But I never clicked with any dog more than this little Mexican rescue named Dublin. Dublin is not my dog. I started walking her three times a week for an American student going to the University of Victoria. Dublin is a 40lb boxer/pom/lab mix but she looks like a little dingo dog with giant ears. this little muscular girl was a ball dog and she was so fast, she would kick dust up when she took off and no dog but a Greyhound or Whippet could catch her.

I bonded with Dublin completely. I was her emergency contact. We went on road trips together. Dublin was ready for any adventure as long as her pack was with her and we did become a pack, her owner, Dublin and I.

I spent three wonderful years with my friend and my dog but sadly all things must come to an end. Dublin’s owner graduated and moved back to California, taking Dublin with her. I will miss them forever.

I’m honouring the deep connection we shared by using Dublin as my logo for Dog Mood Photography. I want to capture all the goofy, joyful, contemplative moods of dogs. They make us laugh with their antics and draw us out of bad moods with their snuggles. But their time with us is so short. Too short not to make some memories along the way.
