Spaniel Bowls, A prescription for better health.
Beautiful flowing ears are a hallmark of our spaniels. I don’t know about you, but to me, there is nothing prettier in a dog with beautiful, full ears framing their sweet faces. But beautiful ears sometimes come with consequences. For 15 years I’ve been making and selling spaniel bowls. In that time, I’ve learned along the way. I’ve learned from my own dogs, and I’ve learned from you, my customers. I’ ve learned that the proper bowls for your dog, are not simply a “want” but a “need” for our dogs. Ear infections are painful for our dogs, and they are surprisingly common. If you dog drinks from a bowl where the ears fall into the water, the fringes literally suck the water up to, and on the leather, and when left wet, allow constant moisture to remain around the ear canal. Constant moisture allows bacterial and fungal infections to grow. Now you have an infection, scratching of the ears, shaking of the head....PAIN! A trip to the vet and medication is generally successful, but lets try to prevent that, rather than having to fix the problem. My bowls truly are a “prescription” for better ear health. I’m not saying that my bowls will prevent “every” ear infection, nor will they stop every trip to the vet, but they truly do cut them down significantly. I’ve had dozens of e-mails over the years of people telling me that they have worked for them in that very respect. To this I will ad that your dog’s ears will stay cleaner, and indeed more beautiful..
