Lilah's scan results may not have been what we hoped for, but they showcased her unwavering spirit and strength. She is a shining example of hope and a reminder that life is precious. We will continue to make the most of every moment with her. Rescue and fostering not only save lives but also bring light and love to those in need. Consider being a source of hope for one of our pugs in need in the future, without foster homes, pugs couldn't be rescued.

I’ve got some updates on Lilah’s surgery.

Lilah had a CT scan yesterday, and unfortunately, it showed that she doesn’t have enough brain tissue to have a shunt surgery. If we tried the shunt, it could cause her brain tissue to collapse and cause her serious neurological damage. The neurosurgeon explained that the surgery wouldn’t help her clinically in any way.

She’ll continue taking her oral medications and being closely monitored by her doctor. The funds that were so generously donated for shunt surgery will continue to be used for Lilah’s care and the medical needs of all the KPR Fosters.

Hold onto your seats because Lilah is celebrating 7 months of life and an CAT Scan appointment today! 🎉 We just entrusted her to her medical A-team, and they'll give us the full scoop tomorrow. The scan will tell the Dr’s how bad her hydrocephalus is and show them what they have to work with for shunt surgery. Let's flood the universe with happy thoughts for our favorite baby diva!

Tomorrow marks a momentous occasion for Lilah as she reaches the remarkable milestone of 6 months old! Her indomitable spirit and determination are a testament to her resilience. We are grateful for the unwavering support of our KPR community who join us on this journey and have come to love her. Big days are coming soon for her.

Lilah hit the 5 month old mark today and is doing fantastic! We are calling to neurologist today to see what our next steps are since they told us she had to be 6-8 months of age for her surgery.

Lilah’s weekly update! Tomorrow she hits the 17 week old mark and she is still amazing us everyday. We want to thank everyone who is rooting for her with us! A few more months to go! A flash back of her journey so far ❤️

We have some exciting news!!!! First is that Lilah is officially 4 mos old today and still exceeding everyone’s expectations! Her Neurologist said she must be 6-8 mos of age before surgery so not much longer! Second bit is that everyone’s donations will cover the cost of her surgery!!!! Pug People are the best!!! Lilah and KPR say thank you for your support!!!
