Chile is a little dog with a BIG personality. He is happy, playful, affectionate, and super loyal. This poor guy has gone through a lot in his life. He was abandoned before coming to rescue and hasn't had much stability in his young life. But he is a little heart stealer and truly deserves to find his forever home. He just needs someone who will give him a chance.

When he first meets someone new, he sometimes likes to pretend he's a guard dog by barking and putting on a good show. But he'll be in your lap for love and affection in under a minute once he knows you're safe. He thinks laps are the best.

Chile gets along well with dogs of all sizes, big or small, but does best with chill dogs that treat him with respect. He requires a proper introduction to ensure they start off on the right paw. He enjoys playing and snuggling with other dogs almost as much as he does with people. But humans are definitely his favorite.

He is crate-trained and does a great job following the household routine. We are working on his marking behaviors, and he is showing improvement but may benefit from wearing a belly band. Chile promises that the extra effort is worth it. His love and playful personality know no bounds. He will be sure to make you laugh and brighten every day if you give this sweet little rescue dog a chance.

After all, who doesn't want a little Chile in their life?

We had a busy weekend with the dogs! We try to take each dog out at least once a week for some fun adventures. On Saturday, we took Nina and Beans to Petco, Kenzo and Star to the Duck Pond, and Bravo, Nova, Sully, and Chile to Walnut Creek for some hiking fun. All the dogs had a blast, and so did we. Sunday is typically grooming day and not as much fun—especially for me, as at least the dogs get lots of pets and treats, ha! All the dogs got brushed, and I somehow found the motivation to bathe all four collies. Now, it's back to the Monday routine.

Brunswick is still coughing but the meds seem to be helping. He is clearly feeling well enough to show off his puppy dog...

Poor Brunswick needed an urgent visit to the vet yesterday. We woke up to find him with a severe cough. He has a history of a mild cough due to a collapsing trachea, and X-rays showed that his condition has worsened. He was started on medication and is showing some improvement, but we're still worried about him. We are fostering him for Pug Rescue of Austin and are grateful for his veterinary care team and everyone who reached out to us yesterday to wish him well. Please keep him in your thoughts and send him well wishes.

Chile is such an adorable little cuddle monster. He loves love. Even though he has only been with us for a couple months has been with the rescue over a year looking for his forever home. He does have to wear belly bands but he is an all around great dog and is worth the small bit of extra care.
