Update - I feel almost certain this bunny was abandoned. Photos of sightings of it have been circulating in my neighborhood group for weeks now yet nobody has claimed it. The rabbit would never let me get close to it when it was outside but I managed to throw it a cucumber slice or two. I suspected it had an injury by the way it moved but it was still pretty quick. Since my neighbor saw me trying to help it when they managed to catch it they brought it straight over to me at 10pm at night on Tuesday. Since I don't know much about rabbits, I gave it water and rabbit pellets and didn't try to touch it until Wednesday morning when I brought him to my regular vet, who does not typically see rabbits. Sadly, the right leg is not just injured, it is broken and he has a compound fracture where a tiny piece of his bone is sticking out of his skin. This injury most likely happened 3-4 weeks ago. Yet, this little bunny is still moving around, eating like a champion, and is sweet and affectionate as can be. It likes to be held like a baby. In fact it is likely a baby as x-rays showed its growth plates haven't closed. Because it has a compound fracture it will most likely need its leg amputated. I tried to get an appointment with two different rabbit vets yesterday but the best I could do was get a consult scheduled for Friday because of the holiday. Thankfully, the baby is stable for now as very few vets in the area even see rabbits and even fewer would be comfortable putting a rabbit under anesthesia. Of course finances might also play a role as this could be a major expense but I will hopefully know more after his consult tomorrow. I've reached out to rabbit rescue and still haven't heard back. I am going to try to expand my search to other rabbit rescues to see if anyone can help me get this bunny the care it will need. In the meantime I'm learning about the complexities of rabbit care and diet. #rescuelife

Summer time fun! Well Bravo and Nova had fun and the other dogs chose not to get wet.

Bravo and Nova were the only two dogs at dog park yesterday but that didn't stop them from having fun.

Sully heard that Houston Collie Rescue has puppies available for adoption. He is the master of the pug head tilt. https://houstoncollierescue.org
