Key tips:
• Keep the leash and collar in the right placement for better communication.
• Stand tall with shoulders back, head up and try your best to watch your dog from your peripheral vision. This helps exert confidence in your leadership role.
• If your dog pulls ahead, give a snap and release with your leash & collar correcting and redirecting your dogs choice/behavior.
• slow your pace or change direction to check in with your dog’s engagement and focus reminding them to follow your lead.
• Be sure to physically or verbally praise as positive reinforcement when they’re in the proper position, relaxed, in a follower state of mind.

📝 During the evaluation process of Finnley & Bella 🐾, it was clear to see that Finnley’s anxious behaviors 😟, such as nipping at John in the nose 👃 as both their anxiety arose, spinning in circles 🔄, jumping 🦘, and excessive whining 🐶, were stemming from the deep desire to be relieved of his current role as pack leader.
John was in need of an ESA 🐕 and found a beautiful connection 💖 in Finnley; however, the relationship came severely out of balance ⚖️ over time due to one major lack of understanding. Finnley was not qualified for the job to bear the weight of ES & as pack leader. Due to a simple lack of knowledge 📚, his owners were not presenting themselves as qualified for the job as their leader, and therefore Finnley, forced to take lead, does so inappropriately.
Bella was adopted into the pack 🏡 & began demonstrating fearfully reactive behaviors 😨 with the lack of structure, routine 🗓️, & proper leadership.

➡️Meeting Bubba in his home 🏡 with his owners, he was not only “reactive” but intently GUARDING 🚨 his owners with his natural instincts to protect. This behavior was not only in the home but in all environments when with his owners. Limiting the quality of life for them all.
