Well, Silas has adopters!! That's right!! He is joining a family that will love, care for and spoil him for all his days. He will never have to spend another night in a shelter, or worry about his next meal. We are so happy for this adorable sweet boy. And so happy for ourselves!! Because WE are the adopters!!! 💛

Silas the wonder dog!! Because you'll wonder why he ever ended up unclaimed at the shelter. Silas is just the very goodest boy!! He's an approximately 3 year old neutered bully mix. Silas is amazing with our whole family, which includes kids as young as 8 years. He takes his treats and plays with toys with the softest mouth, so gentle. He has a lower to medium energy level, and is content to snuggle with humans for hours. Silas is curious around cats, but backs down when he's told by humans or the cat. 😉 He does great with Sage, never overbearing. He goes right in the crate for a treat, and sleeps through the night. He is fully potty trained. 💙 Silas is currently in foster with us, and available for adoption through Tehama County Animal Care Center in Red Bluff, CA.

Silas had a good first full day here. 💛 Zero bathroom accidents (hooray!), two nice walks, playtime in the yard, lots of love and pets. He is such a good boy, and loves his people. I am so happy to see him start to relax a bit. 🥰

It's the New Year, so time for a new foster! Meet Silas. He's a pitty who thinks he's a mouse. A very sweet, shy boy. So shy he actually army crawled to me down the hallway at the shelter. 😭 Here he is enjoying his first Pupucino and the lovely lady at Starbucks wrote "Fresh out the Shelter" on it for him. 💛

2023 year in review:
We fostered 11 kittens, 2 dogs.
We boarded 4 dogs for vacations.
We bought and moved into a new (to us) home with a bigger yard, less carpet, and more square footage, all of which makes fostering SO much easier!
It was by no means our busiest year, but I'd say it was successful. Many lessons learned, and many lives changed!! A big thank you to our family and friends who adopted, shared posts, encouraged us, and prayed for the right homes to come along. I won't stop saying it...we can't do what we do, without all of you. 💛 (Picturing our largest and smallest fosters of the year. Raven (Great Pyrenees at a slim 70+ lbs coming from the shelter, and Marshmallow at probably 90 grams....Ember was actually the smallest, but I couldn't find a great pic of her at her smallest.)

Marshmallow has left to her forever home with her new mom and dad. I am so happy for her, and for all of our S'mores kittens. I won't lie though, I'm also a little sad. The bottle babies, and the sick babies get to me more than most. Also, I am now without any foster babies. For like, the rest of the year. 😉

Sleeping cuties!! Maya looks like she could be their Mama, although she certainly is not. She must think they are cute, because she is normally not a fan (understatement) of kittens. She has allowed these babies closer than any others that I can remember, since she was a kitten herself.

Sweet little Marshmallow is still waiting for her forever person or family. She is such a darling, cuddly, playful girl. Marshmallow is good with respectful kids, other cats, and dogs. She is a bottle baby, so really doesn't understand being afraid of much. She would love a home with another cat or kitten, or a kitty friendly dog. She is spayed and microchipped ,and adopter would need to cover the cost of that vet bill as the adoption fee.

I'm guessing 85 lbs he will be a big boy! Very tall.
He is incredibly sweet!! He loves to cuddle and be with you! He is dog & cat friendly! He also loves kids! Probably a family with older kids is best, as he's large and doesn't always realize hIs size! Kylo is high energy but has great recall and listens very well! He wants to please so he tries very hard to be good!
