Sharing this in hopes some of you are staying local for the summer and looking to volunteer and help an amazing local organization!
Show Your Soft Side

Can we get serious for a minute?

Summer is here and that means a lot of people will have some additional time on their hands. We're hoping a few of them might be willing to donate that time to Baltimore's kitties. We're not asking you to make a lifelong commitment, just consider giving a few hours occasionally or even just once. We know a number of needs that need to be filled and here's just a few of them:

1. Transport kitties back and forth on spay/neuter clinic days.
2. Agree to hold a kitty overnight after clinic (you just need a spare bathroom or basement.)
3. Help feed Baltimore's street cats - you just need a car and a big heart.
4.. Agree to foster a kitty until an adopter can be found (it will, truly, do your heart good.)

As you all my know my dad has been an EOD K9 officer 3 times:
Maximus, Dax and Sky.
K9s are heroes and we are so grateful for the amazing folks who helped save the life of K9 Enzo from LVMPD!

We don't always see the aftermath or post incident video footage. This video shows the swift actions of LVMPD, SWAT, K9, Air Support, Dispatch and all medical professionals moving at maximum speed to save Enzo's life.
God bless you all for taking care of Enzo🙏

UPDATE, UPDATE, UPDATE - VANESSA HAS A HOME WITH ONE OF OUR FORMER ADOPTERS!!!! STAY TUNED FOR MORE UPDATES :)

We often get asked, "Why doesn't this dog have a home yet?" The answer is simple yet frustrating. We have no idea why some dogs go unnoticed while others get homes faster. Vanessa is one of those that slipped through the cracks.

She was brought to us one hot August day in 2012. Her owners pulled up in a moving truck and when they rolled the door open, there was this little puppy. Plain and simple...they just didn't want her anymore. Her little life had barely started and already she was unwanted and minutes away from dying in the back of a sweltering hot box of a truck.

Now here we are 11 years later and Vanessa still waits. She is perfect in every way. Only about 35 lbs, she is dog-friendly, well-behaved in the house, perfectly crate trained, and just...perfect.

If you can find room in your home and heart to give this senior sugar-face a home, her care is covered and paid for by us/VRC in our senior dog program. We take care of everything and all you need to provide is the love and sanctity of your home.
