Kayne and his sister Kali got into a serious fight, where they were separated afterwards, and we were asked to help bring the peace back to their home.
Obviously that means using the Power of the Walk to bring balance back to these two pups! And at the end, of the session our Pack leader was able to praise and love on both dogs, which USED to get Kali jealous ;)
Fired up! Keep up the great work!
Pistol the Heeler and Daisy the Yorkie! After the passing of the oldest dog, the pack was sent out of balance, causing Pistol and Daisy to get into conflicts. After 2 sessions we had the whole pack back in balance and being lead by their owner, who's now a real PACK LEADER, like you've got to be if you intend to walk 5 dogs at once and be in control! ;)
No incidents between the 2 have happened since our first visit ;)
Meet Pixie(White and poofy) and Niko(Black and White)! ;)
They are both enrolled in a custom course with us. We are handling leash manners with the two as we were told their owners could not walk them together, fine apart, together a pulling machine.
And we'll be addressing fear based aggression with other dogs from Niko.
Take a look at their first session as we handle their leash manners, and some challenging situations for Niko! ;)
Stay means Stay, no matter how far away!
Distance and time are the easiest ways to challenge your dog to become more reliable with their commands. Practice and challenge them to hold their commands longer and from further away! ;)
Here's Sam nailing a long Down-Stay and Come ;)
Like any tool a dog trainer uses, there's room for misuse, dog parks can be great tools when utilized properly. Sunny is dog aggressive, and we've been working intensely with him to help him get past his issues. He had a big breakthrough thanks to the dog park, and the balanced dogs.
Remember to always evaluate the dog park before entering, if you see dogs that are bullying, stressed, or scared, it's usually not a good idea to go in!
When you evaluate it right, and use the tool correctly, you won't have any problems and only reap the benefits like Sunny did here! ;)
"Never thought I'd drop the leash in front of my house"
And that's no surprise since, Kayne is a big Rottie who would drag is owner down the street easily and was out of control, but look at him on his second session! Sit, Stay. Come AND Attentive! ;)
That's a good boy Kayne!
Meet Pretty Girl! She's currently enrolled in our basic obedience course! We took her out to the "real world", to get her start proofing her commands and leash walking skills!
She makes walking past a pack of dogs look effortless! Great job Pretty Girl! ;)
Meet Sunny! A 4 year old German Shepherd! He's currently enrolled in our custom course for some behavioral issues. He likes to keep tension on his leash, so we started there to get rid of the tension! ;)
In one hour, he went from tight leash, to loose leash to pretty much OFF-LEASH. ;)
Check out the extended version of this session on our Youtube channel!

If you ask your dog to Heel, it's not I'll wait here, you get to my side, and then lets walk nicely!
Heel should mean come to my side and walk nicely... even if you're already walking! ;)
Duke, the pup who never wanted a leash on him, wanted no one to grab his collar, and who never had a real walk in his whole life, has had all of those happen now.
Here's footage from his very first walk! He's had a huge jump in confidence!
Remember! Training isn't just sits and stays! ;)
A quick little video with Sam. Mounting the GoPro on him.
Always practicing the basics! Just a little stay and come to keep him ready. ;)
Meet Lovey the Shepherd mix and Rocky the Boxer! Their family couldn't walk them because they pulled way too hard, and walking them together was just a dream. In our first session, in just one hour, look what we accomplished! ;)
Last time Sam tried this he was learning to put toys in a box! He's had some practice since then. ;)

Come is the "go to" off leash cue. Your dog comes back to you. Very Helpful. But what if you just want your dog to stop and wait for you. That's where the Wait-Stay comes in. ;)
Meet Duke! Duke comes to us with some serious collar and leash handling issues! He likes to run away from the leash so you can't get it on him and hates getting any sort of leash direction.
Watch Duke start to turn around! ;)
Sit, Stay, Come! Your dog does great at it!
But... if your dog is walking ahead of you and you call him, does he stop and come back? If not, he doesn't quite know what "Come" means and he knows a routine more.
Practice your cues in all kinds of situations and you and your dog's relationship will benefit from it!
Meet River! He's got a naughty streak of pulling like a horse, but not anymore, now his owner can walk him nicely down the street.

Sam knows his "Find it" but he's only learned to find treats. If I show him his ball, will he be able to find the ball? Then can he bring it back home? Let's find out!
Can your dog play "Find it"? ;)

Just like last Sunday, Samson is back! He has a pretty difficult challenge this time around! He's never been asked to put an item in a box and his "grab it" is a weaker command for him. Think he can get his food this time? ;)
