FINALLY!! Been trying to catch for what seems like FUREVER! Been seeing her for almost 3 months started actively trying to trap her for the last month. Went into double time when she was injured after a vicious cat fight. Her front leg was swollen and dangling and she was holding it up. Looks way better now for sure but she's going to get checked out regardless. Still don't know if she is feral or tame. She's one of those that is confusing! We shall see. Either way she cannot go back to where she came from. I thunk it's a girl but not sure. We've been calling her Jen-náe...but if she turns out to be a boy she'll be called Forrest! (Long story! 😹)

This kitten! Sooo close..going to try thr trap again..last time I had no luck!
Well we have a new small colony we are taking on. Not bc we want to but bc I can't just ignore these kitties and I now see them everyday at my local gas station I regularly go to.
Thought it was just this guy and I also thought he seems friendly this will be easy! But that NEVER happens. Of course I've now realized (and have seen) about 8 kitties...which generally means there's double that in actuality.
But, e so t have the funds to take these guys on. This baby is likely very adoptable and a few others seem like they might not be feral either. Ferals are generally "easy" bc I can just TNR them BUT A) these guys can't go back to the gas station B) like I said several seem adoptable sooooo that basically means the adoptable ones will need longer term care which = $
So I'm going to see if we can raise some funds so I can help this small colony before it gets any bigger! It's breaking my heart to see these kitties begging for scraps that customers throw to them. 😿
So if yall are willing to donate I'm definitely willing to get these babies some help!

Honey is such a sweetie. How have we had her so long?!
Almost 12 years. Thats how long it took my Sammy girl to let me do this. I caught Sammy as a 8 week old kitten at Ravenwood apartments in Forest Acres. She was 1 of 80 kittens we took out of there that first summer and 1 of over 200+ cats we TNRd. We had a rough start as I was a newbie dealing with ferals and learned the hard way of what NOT to do! Nonetheless Sammy proved faithful to me and Ive loved her ever since that first day she tried to kill me lol. In the past 12 years I could literally count on 2 hands how many times she's allowed me to pet her..in the last month she's been staying in our garage more and wanting to be around me more. Its likely bc she's getting older and slowing down but heck..Ill take it!
