We’ve got some more big thank you’s again, it seems that this is a giving holiday season.

To Wanda for coming out and helping me do some construction cleanup from all the dust and dinginess. I now have all the tool shelves cleaned off and free from the never ending dust and the rooms that are finished the windows and doors all cleaned that you can see clearly thru them again.

To Jay for donating this beautiful 3 piece gently used couch set. He brought it out and helped us get it inside so as soon as the animals rooms are all ready they can start getting all their couches so they will all be nice and comfy to watch their new TVs they already got.

To each and every one of you who have helped and donated whether it was monetarily or items needed we can’t thank you enough. Not only is it beginning to look a lot like Christmas it’s all now start to really look like the Mutt Mansion we dreamed up for these animals who are so very deserving to have an amazing life that this safe haven will provide for them. Miracles happen to those that believe! 🎅🏻 😇 🐶 🐱

Wow oh wow these animals must have been very good pups and kitties because the Christmas season keeps bringing them some really nice things. Santa sent a very amazing helper to finish their shower/bath area and let me just say pics don’t do it any justice compared to what it looks like in person. This shower turned out absolutely amazing and is just stunning!!!

A huge big thank you to Dean Merkle
for coming out and tackling this tile job. His years of experience and patience are what definitely made this shower look so stunning. Not only did he take on the job but his kind heart was so generous to donate all his time and labor to make this shower look so fantabulous for these animals.

We will be forever grateful to him for helping out and doing such an amazing job. I personally can’t express how thankful I am to him as he took a huge weight off my shoulders that I can mark this off my to do list now and I can say I would’ve never come close to how amazing of a job he did!!!

If you’d like an amazing tile job done pm us for his phone number, I can guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…

Thanks to Rob for donating this gently used stove that looks like brand new for our new Mutt Mansion. He didn’t stop there but also brought out 2 big boxes of venison bones for the animals for special chew treats!! These animals are going to have some great feasts for sure 🐶 🐱

Ron we can’t thank you enough for your kindness and generosity!

16/12/2024

So this is what it’s like when Christmas comes early!!! A big huge thanks to Rescue Pack for helping to supply us with so many much needed things like food, toys, puppy pads and supplies. We got a lil bit of everything at this distribution and as you can see the animals are all in heaven enjoying it all.

From Hartz we got puppy pads to help keep our animals messes less messy. From Chewy we got toys that you can see even our olde guys Niko and Charlie Bear love playing with. New food and water bowls and food mats that are not slipping around the floors and keeping things cleaner. Pet beds that even our cats like Samantha are enjoying. From Stella & Chewy’s we got freeze dried cat food that the cats absolutely love even Samantha decided she wanted to eat it right out of the bag since we weren’t feeding it quick enough lol. From Acana we got Pacifica dry dog food that enticed even our olde guy Niko to want to snack on some kibble again which he hasn’t done in months. From Merrick we got wet dog food that makes giving the pups their meds so much easier and they love getting a nice snack too. Wow oh wow can you see why we are so excited here for this miracle to make sure these animals have the best Christmas!!

To Chris, Jay, Loraine, Nancy, Tricia and myself for all coming out to help unload and get everything put away. It was a huge load we got and it was all done within a couple hours because of everyone’s generosity of time and effort so we weren’t unloading for days lol To Chris who is always doing the drive to pickup for the rescue and making sure our load is secured before heading back, it’s a long drive and we know it’s a lot. When he gets back he jumps on the skid loader and makes sure our pallets are up on our deck so we are not having to walk up and down the stairs a million and one times making it so much easier on all of us. To the generous financial donors who made sure that our distribution order was able to be paid for, Deborah, LaVerne, Mary and Nancy, it truly makes a world of a difference when we don’t have to stress over figuring out how to pay for all these goodies that the animals need.

Here’s to a very Happy Holiday Season and for always remembering Miracles happen to those that believe 😇

We’ve been busy bees over here hence the lack of posts. We want to send out some big thanks to some amazing angels.

To Loraine and Nancy for coming out and helping with the building work and for helping to get some of our frozen food moved to the freezers in the new building before it got blisteringly cold out. Unfortunately the work never ends here with all we have to do and we are so grateful for all the help!

To Loraine, Deborah and another anonymous angel for purchasing 3 of the 5 TVs we need for the animal rooms. The animals will have something to help busy their time with and normal household sounds to help keep their environment so much more like a home like feel.

To Loraine and Ben & Liz for donating turkeys so the animals could enjoy in a feast filling their bellies with a good, warm, home cooked meal. To Nancy for bringing us our own turkey dinner with sweet deserts knowing we wouldn’t probably have time to cook for ourselves.

In such a busy and ruff world we are so blessed to have such amazing people helping to make sure the needs of these animals are fulfilled and they are not left behind. For that we are always so grateful!!! 😻

If anyone is available this Saturday and would like to help unload we have a big food pickup that will be coming and will be here around 12-1 pm. The weather won’t be too bad as it says a high of 45 degrees thankfully. Some of the boxes will be light so it won’t all require heavy lifting we just need a few more helping hands. If you’d like to help volunteer for a couple hours it would be greatly appreciated 🐶

If anyone wants to do some Black Friday shopping for the animals they have these TVs on sale for a great price at Walmart. We are short 5 TVs for the new Mutt Mansion and that would ensure every animal room has a tv for them to watch and help keep them occupied and calm while in their rooms.

If you’d like to purchase directly you can click on the Walmart link below or you can donate towards the purchase of one you can send money one of the ways below just note that it’s for the animals TVs. I’m not sure when this sale price ends so we can’t wait long.

When you’re done with the flooring and putting in doors in one of the rooms you need someone to inspect things….well I had some pretty darn good inspectors last nite, Champ, Leo & Peaches. And I’d say they fit the qualifications the best for the job since it will be their new place. With the wagging tails and happiness I’d say we passed their inspections.

The Mutt mansion is coming along, I swear it’s taking a lifetime BUT we want it done right so we will all just have to have a lil bit more patience as the construction continues. Just hoping I won’t be ready for retirement by the time it gets completed 🤣

This older gal is looking for a soft landing pad to spend the rest of her life. She’s currently at animal control which was due to her elderly owner going into a care facility. Animal controls do their best but it’s definitely not a place for a senior pup. This girl needs a home to be in to enjoy her days being loved, spoiled and cared for. Would you be willing to open your heart and home to this lil sweet darling just in time to get her home for the holidays? If so contact Grundy County Animal Control to setup a time to meet this pup.

PLEASE SHARE so we can get Dakota into a cushy home soon.

UPDATE: Ryker is home safe and sound this morning

LOST DOG IN SHOREWOOD, PLEASE SHARE!!!

If everyone could please keep an eye out for one of our past adopted dogs he unfortunately got out of the adopters yard this evening. They live in Shorewood. He is microchipped and the info is current. He did have a collar on when he got lost and it does have the adopters contact info on it as well. He is a small looking black/chocolate lab mix and his name is Ryker. If he is spotted please call or text me at 815-531-4929.

This photo was from a couple years ago. Normally he is very friendly but a lot of dogs that get loose and turned around may shy away from strangers so please call or text with any sightings.

Sorry I didn’t get any pics to post but we want to send some big thank you’s out to Nancy and Loraine for coming out and helping with some of the construction work.

Nancy came out and helped me finish up the last of the siding on the front of the building. We tried for almost the past year to get someone to come out and do it for a reasonable price with absolutely no luck, either no shows when they promised they got it or way overpriced quotes. It’s been a thorn in our side for quite some time. I just had to buck up get up on the extension ladder which I hate and get it done cause no one was coming to our rescue. Without Nancy’s help it wouldn’t have gotten done and we are doing the happy dance now with relief that it’s finally all complete.

To Loraine who came out and helped me install another animal room door, we were shooting for 2 doors to be installed but the first decided to be a pain and gave us issues. Finally we were able to figure out the problem with the door closing and were able to get it corrected so it works purfect now.

With the help of these 2 amazing ladies more got completed and we are going in a forward direction even if it takes longer than expected. It will be an amazing safe haven for the animals and that’s why we keep pushing and don’t give up, giving up is just too easy, we’re focused on making dreams come true for the animals 😻

A big thank you to Jay for coming out both days this past weekend and helping us. Not only did he help to unload and put away all the food and supplies from our food distribution pickup but he also helped me do some construction/building work. We got one of the animal room doors put in and underlayment laid in 2 of the rooms so I could start getting some real flooring installed. While he was here he even got to spend some time with some of the animals. He even made good friends with Leo who once he came out of his kennel was his buddy afterwards. Leo has gotten a bit stressed when new people come out so he doesn’t act so friendly thru the kennel but once out he becomes his normal, calm, lovey dovey self again and we were so happy Jay got to see Leo’s normal self.

I can’t express how much people volunteering even a few hours really helps so that we can get things going further on this Mutt Mansion. It’s been a very long road of construction and it has stressed me out and exhausted me beyond belief. There’s days I just want to sleep and rest for a week because I hurt so bad but I have to keep going for these animals. Others coming out to help really does make a huge difference so that more can be accomplished and it also takes away some of the huge burden I’ve been carrying. For that I will always be so grateful more than words can ever express 💗

A big shout out to our friends over at Pug & Hound Pet Apothecary . Not only do they have an amazing selection of high quality nutritious food and treats for your fur kids they also have a huge selection of phenomenal supplements to help with a wide array of issues and concerns. Now you may say well I’m not sure of what my baby may need….no worries on that because their friendly and educated staff is always so helpful they can help go over what the needs are and the options of different things that can help. We can’t say enough great things about the owners Krysta and Jeff and all their staff. It’s a breath of fresh air when you’re able to help your pet by putting the good in and keeping the bad out while being able to heal your pet! Make sure you stop by their new location in downtown Geneva and check them out, there’s not enough good things we can say about them, they truly want to help your pet get well and stay well.

Lastly not only are they so amazing at what they do but they are also generous supporters of helping to keep our rescue animals healthy and happy too. They donated all these awesome items for our animals, everything from food, treats and some of our favorite supplements as well. They truly are some pretty awesome and amazing people!! 🐶 😻

Another big thank you goes out to James K for his monetary donation towards our building supplies we need. We were able to purchase 50 switch/outlet covers for our new Mutt Mansion because of his generous monetary donation.

We are still in need of more items we need so here’s some pics with the sku numbers at Menards and quantities we still need if you’d like to purchase them yourself or if you’d like to make a monetary donation towards them you can as well. Just another thought maybe everyone is low on funds which we completely understand but maybe you have some Menards rebates?? You can use those to purchase some of our wish list items or you can also donate them to our rescue to be used towards the purchase of the items we still need.

Following are the ways to make monetary donations:

We still need a few things to get this Mutt Mansion done but we are not giving up we are pushing forward to get it completed. They say good things come to those that wait and we have been more than patient for this new Mutt Mansion facility. The animals need it and deserve a safe place to call their own 🐶

A big thanks to Jay for coming out last weekend and helping me to remove all the doors, drawers and hinges from the cabinets so I can get them all painted to match each other so we can start installing them in all of the animal rooms. I was not looking forward to the tedious time consuming job especially doing it on my own and Jay helped get it done so quickly and was great company to make it seem like we weren’t even working but just catching up with each other enjoying our time.
