Last week we said goodbye to my family dog, Sully. For those of you who don’t know me personally, I LOVED dogs growing up and every year begged and pleaded my parents for a dog. They said no. 😅 In high school I began volunteering at a local animal rescue. Somehow, my siblings and I were able to convince our parents to let us adopt an “adult” dog.

We fell in love with “Courtney”, the “dachshund/corgi mix” and we brought her home, renamed her Sully and discovered she was definitely not an adult dog. And as she continued growing it was clear she had no dachshund in her.

Sully watched each of us leave the house to college, move on with our lives, start families of our own and even get dogs of our own. She tolerated Navy and Duke. 😅

Whenever we would come home for the holidays or a weekend visit, she would great us with her loving, wagging tail.

Despite being hit by a car when she was 5, Sully lived an amazing 15 years. She was my first dog. She was such a good girl and she was so loved. Rest easy my sweet Sullivan Anne. I hope you are chasing all the deer over the rainbow bridge. 💕🌈

I’ve been seeing a lot of frustrated creators speak out recently about instagrams push for videos / reels. I’ve never been a video creator. Never liked it. I don’t mind viewing video content. But I do really miss Instagram being a photo sharing app. I felt so much more motivated and creative when IG was primarily for photography. I too share the frustration of many when all I see are ads and reels when scrolling through my explore page.

There’s really no point to this post or this lengthy caption. 🙃 Just wanted to share my thoughts and I’d like to hear yours! ❤️

It’s been a hot one this summer! While we can enjoy the warm weather outdoors, Navy and Duke need to limit their time outside.
